This guide explains how to use the Monorail system in Death Stranding 2, enabling efficient transport of cargo and vehicles across the map while also offering a fast-travel option for the porter.
The Monorail lets you ship multiple things at once and unlock new destinations as they go. This makes getting around and managing logistics a lot easier.

Overview of the Monorail System
The Monorail functions as both a cargo transport network and a personal transit line. As the Monorail network expands, additional stations become available, allowing access to a growing number of destinations.
Both items and vehicles can be loaded onto the Monorail for automated delivery, and the porter may board the Monorail to travel with the cargo.
Preparing Cargo for Transport
Once materials intended for shipment via the Monorail are obtained, they must be placed either in the porter's equipped slots or on the platform area adjacent to the station.

So they know they are in the right place for the Monorail to arrive. Once the monorail loads, if you put things where they belong, they will go onto the Monorail right away.
Managing Inventory
To transport cargo using the Monorail, open the Inventory and highlight the desired items. Press Square to select multiple items at once, streamlining the management process.
After selecting all required materials, press X to move them into the Monorail's cargo hold. Vehicles may also be loaded by selecting them from the Inventory in the same manner and transferring them onto the Monorail.
Boarding the Monorail

After loading items and any chosen vehicles, select the option labeled "Get On/Off the Monorail." Confirming this choice causes the porter to board the Monorail, which then transports both the cargo and the porter to the selected destination station.
Unlocking Additional Destinations
At initial access, only a single destination station is available. Continued progression through missions and completing delivery tasks will unlock further Monorail stations.
Each newly unlocked station expands the Monorail network, offering greater flexibility and faster traversal across the game world.
