Deltarune Guide | Chapter 5 Full Ending

Deltarune Chapter 5 has a full normal ending, but the route can change if you are continuing a Weird Route file. For the standard ending, load a normal Chapter 5 save and continue Festival Day without forcing the lake sequence into the darker route. This keeps the chapter on its intended main path and lets you reach the full finale after the Dark World section.

Clear the Flower Shop Dark World

Progress through the Flower Shop Dark World until the final boss sequence is complete. Keep healing items ready before the last fight, because the ending only opens after the chapter’s main conflict is resolved. If you are aiming for a cleaner pacifist-style file, use non-lethal actions whenever possible and Spare enemies once Mercy reaches the required point.

After the final battle, continue forward instead of backtracking. Chapter 5 shifts heavily into story once the major fight ends, so the remaining steps are mostly about letting the scenes play out and choosing dialogue naturally.

Watch the Light World Ending

Once Kris, Susie, and the others return to the Light World, allow the full ending scene to continue. The chapter closes around the Festival Day aftermath, with major attention on Asgore and the next direction of the story. Do not quit when control briefly changes or when the scene slows down, because several important moments happen after the apparent final battle.

Avoid Missing the Final Scene

If the ending does not appear, check whether the save file was taken through the Weird Route or whether the final boss was not fully completed. Return to the latest save point before the ending, finish the last encounter again, and continue past every post-battle scene until the chapter clearly transitions out of the finale.
