The Zealous Shredder's identity is revealed.

The Paladin class in Diablo 4 is a completely new approach to conquering the most challenging endgame tasks of the game, as opposed to a slow and methodical tanking. Many builds depend on a combination of mass shield and hybrid casters, but the Zealous Shredder build is the ultimate in high-frequency melee destruction.

This is a fine, deadly combination that sacrifices the standard Paladin shield for a huge, two-handed weapon style that makes the Paladin a nimble and unstoppable blender of steel. The central concept of this build is to hit monsters at maximum attack speed and with a perfect critical strike chance, so that the monster's powerful attacks will be echoing from them in no time.

The Zealous Shredder is a creature that keeps on moving forward—no need to wait for a long cooldown to get a status effect or hit the dam if you are fishing.

This build is designed specifically for the player or players who wish to take on the holy warrior with nothing but pure physical and holy destruction and rip through to the highest levels of Pits and advanced Torment.

Worshipping the Zealot Oaths and Fervor Stacks

Its immense power is driven by its specialized Zealot Oath class mechanic in the center. The Zealot path gives you the Fervor trait, which subtly changes how you fight, and this path is different from other paths that simply make you better at absorbing shields or casting spells from the Holy section.

Your Zealotry abilities continue to add Fervor stacks to your Zealot the more you land hits consecutively, resulting in higher attack speed and multi-hit percentage.

After you accumulate the max amount of Fervor stacks, the real power behind the oath kicks in, making all of your strikes echo around the battlefield and inflict a significant percentage of your base damage again.

In addition to this, your defensive resilience is always increased because you're constantly adding Fortify into your health pool when you're at maximum Fervor.

The Zealot Oath has the potential to make for a high-stakes deathmatch situation; if you hesitate for a second, you lose momentum, and if you're maintaining an aggressive stance, you'll be practically untouchable in the endgame's chaotic situations.

Learn the High-Speed Combat Loop!

The Zealous Shredder's combat rotation requires a sequence of skills to be executed in a certain order to maximize multiplicative damage windows. In battle, you use the Zealot-morphed Falling Star ability by jumping high into the air and crashing to the heart of an elite pack, dealing a Weaken and Vulnerable debuff to all nearby targets.

As soon as you land, you activate the Fortress skill, giving your character complete crowd-control immunity, and also giving him a huge damage bonus depending on the Resolve he had accumulated.

Then, you activate Rally, which can be activated more than once to increase your critical strike chance by a significant margin and movement speed by a much larger percentage than the game's default of 200%.

After everything is set up and ready, you use your auras and press and hold a main Zeal ability. When the battlefield is absolutely ready, you put your auras on and press and hold a primary Zeal ability.

Healing increases are out of the picture, but your critical strike ability is nearly 100 percent, and your fast attacks are now a tide of echoes, pounding through health pools in seconds against the toughest opponents.

Synergy in Use of Resources

The Zealous Shredder build has one of the most revolutionary features in its total disregard for the normal resource management system. This build will sacrifice all of Paladin's Faith pool and basic skills in order to avoid having to balance it to sustain combat rotations.

The health-consuming Zeal core skill, combined with Death or Glory, skips the need to run through the resources and lets you spam your main damage skill without caring about an energy bar ever. The build centers on the Undying Aspect to create an extremely aggressive healing system for counterattacks, given the danger of constantly spending health to attack.

This legendary power will renew a large portion of your maximum life for every skill cast.

Since you have to attack at an incredibly high rate, the Zealot Oath leaves you to heal yourself nonstop, surpassing your own damage output for the skills you've taken. Further fortified by the "Embattled Aspect" and the passive fortification generated at maximum "Fervor", your health pool stays full, meaning that this should be a glass-cannon mechanic that becomes a near-immortal engine.

The Ultimate Storm of Steel

This build can be turned into a top-endgame slayer if an uncompromising approach is taken with equipment selection and Blacksmith tempering. The absolute crown jewel of your arsenal is the Red Sermon, a unique two-handed sword, and this is a must-have for this setup.

This fabled blade gives you a massive damage increase to the Zeal ability's damage quantum, and reaps the powerful Death or Glory skill boost for free, freeing up precious skill points to be invested elsewhere.

Of course, for your headpiece, you can't go wrong with the Mythic Heir of Perdition, which punishes enemies with a whopping eighty percent of multiplicative damage whilst boosting your critical strike chance by a huge margin.

All other armor and jewelry pieces must be carefully chosen to provide maximum global attack speed, physical damage, and critical strike multipliers.

You need to imprint the Aspect of the Zealot's Covenant and the Aspect of Jacques' Fervor onto your gear to unlock your ultimate Fervor cap and double the number of damages that are dealt out by the echoing strikes of your automated attacks, thereby reaching stratospheric DPS.

Pathfinder's Endgame Paragon Routing and Glyph Specialization

Because the Zealous Shredder has advanced so quickly, you can no longer use normal attribute paths on the Paragon board – you have to be super specific.

The path you take should focus on making the best use of five boards—Spirit, Fervent, Relentless, Endure, and Castle.

Your priority on these boards is to just run straight toward the high-endgame nodes of the legendary nodes that will increase your physical damage and physical critical strike, and ignore the small nodes that will give you defense in the early stages of your endgame.

Glyphs you insert into the socket are the backbone of your passive scaling power. For the Sentinel and Turf glyphs, it is necessary to level them above their major milestones to make their area of effect radius permanent.

The Sentinel glyph gives an unparalleled damage multiplier when optimized and is directly proportional to your current offensive stacks, while the Turf glyph gives high damage reduction to targets within close range, and means the damage from stacks acts as a multiplier against targets within Arm's reach.

This is an extremely precise web of nodes that ensures that your raw power will always match the increasing health pools of higher-tier Torment enemies.

The Charm Ecosystem and Total Defense Optimization

To break from the bounds of traditional stats, you need to truly immerse yourself in the Paladin's unique Charm system, focusing on Cathan's Dauntless Faith unique charm set. This special artifact set will give you a huge and holy boost to your damage in both scales, so that your echoing slashes are as potent as possible.

Alternatively, if you're looking for a more extreme approach and are willing to take all the risk for the absolute offensive return, you can do this with Griswold's Opus in your unique charm slot to further increase your critical damage thresholds.

Defensively, you can have as much armor as possible to power up the Castle offensive and defensive bonuses. When paired with your strong armor, automatic barrier loops either from a defensive rune or through specialized items such as Soul Brand, you form an impenetrable wall of defense.

With this constant barrier absorption and constant fortification, you can take on damaging boss mechanics and come through the most arduous environmental challenges while never taking a break from your high damage output rotation.

Raising the bar to Peak Destructive Momentum.

The real magic of the Zealous Shredder Paladin is its ability to give you the best possible combat efficiency for the absolute most aggression.

It wipes out the passive slowdown and high reactivity that a lot of traditional melee characters seem to suffer from, and replaces them with a more fluid and high-speed experience that's very satisfying to pull off.

The skill tree, unique weapons and specialized paragon boards are orchestrated toward a particular goal of time and time again critical hits, turning your Paladin into a Sanctuary legend.

The harder you get at paced Falling Star engagements the more you will be able to slice through demonic legions with ease while still sustaining the infinite health-loop, leaving only minced frozen bits in your wake.
