DRAGON QUEST VII Reimagined Guide | How to Level Vocations Fast
A fast early- and mid-game farming loop in Hardlypool Region that boosts vocation proficiency while earning XP and money.
Game Guide by Faviyan Mustafiz on Feb 08, 2026
It can take a while to level up your vocations in the early and middle parts of the game. You might want to learn new skills, but the grind for a job can feel slow. A quick fix is to farm weak enemies in the overworld that spawn close to each other, then reset them and do it again. This method stays easy, stays the same, and gets a lot faster when you unlock Moonlighting.
Where to Farm Vocations
This loop begins at a pedestal in the Hardlypool Region. Once the pedestal is unlocked, go into the area and stay close to the enemy packs that are moving around. There are a lot of enemies here, so clears are quick and vocation progress is quick.

Use Moonlighting to Get Things Done Faster
This method works without it, but it gets a lot better once Moonlighting is unlocked. With moonlighting, you can work two jobs at once, so every fast clear moves two jobs forward. That makes the grind feel less heavy, especially when you have to level up a lot of different jobs.

The best level range for one-shot clears
Most enemies out here can be killed in one shot if you are around level 27 to 28. Quick kills keep the cycle going. You still get XP and money, so the time you spend helps your party grow.

The Quick Reset Loop
Go to the Hardlypool Region and kill all the enemies in the overworld. Run up, hit first, and then keep going to the next group. If you run into an enemy by accident that slows you down, run away and get back on the path right away.
Go back to Hardlypool to reset the spawns. After that, go back to Hardlypool Region. The spawns will be reset, and a lot of enemies will come back. Clear them out, then rinse and repeat until the jobs you want are at the level you need.

Quick Ways to Keep the Loop Clean
Stay on the main path where enemies are, because speed is the goal. Get the party ready to attack right away so that each group falls quickly. Vocation leveling stays quick and steady when the loop stays smooth.
