If you don't know how to move the statue in the Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined's Trial Room Shadow Puzzle, it can slow down the main story. This guide tells you exactly how to move the statues to make the shadow on the wall and open the door. To quickly clear the room and get back to the Main Quest, follow the steps below.

How to Get to the Trial Room in the Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined

As you move through the Main Quest, you will eventually get a Key. You can then go through the Ground Pass and into the Trial Room. The Shadow Puzzle starts here, and the goal is easy: move the statues to the right places to make the shadow on the wall.

A Guide to the Trial Room Shadow Puzzle

The Shadow Puzzle changes what the light shines on the wall. You don't touch the wall directly. Instead, you move the statues around until the shadow looks right. The statue's positions are important, and the room won't open until the shadow looks right and the center light is taken care of.

Moving the statue the right way to make the shadow

Move the first statue to start. Push it forward twice. Stop and leave it where it is after two pushes. Then, three times, push that same statue up. The statue is in the right place after the third push up.

Look at the wall after you put it there. There should be a shadow that looks like a drop. This is the most important sign that the first statue is in the right place and the puzzle is moving in the right direction.

Now go to the statue on the left. Do the same thing, but in the other direction. Twice, push the left statue toward the other side. Then push it down three times to the south. After the third push to the south, the left statue should be in place.

At this point, the shadow should look a lot more like the pattern you want it to. The statue placement may look right, but the puzzle is still not completely finished.

To open the door, turn on the Middle Light.

There will still be a light in the middle of the room after the two statues are in place. Put the Main Character in the middle of the light spot. This last step finishes the Shadow Puzzle, and the door will open right away so you can go on.
