Nitro is an information-gathering and support Lancer in FragPunk who specializes in reconnaissance and area control. This character excels at providing valuable intel to your team while offering defensive positioning tools.

Mastering Nitro's abilities will make you an asset for both attacking and defending objectives through superior map awareness and tactical positioning.
Remote Controlled Robot
Your first ability deploys a remote-controlled robot that serves as your primary scouting tool. This robot can move around the map independently and provides vision of areas you cannot directly observe.
While the robot can fire at enemies, it deals minimal damage and has a slow rate of fire, making its combat effectiveness limited.
The robot's primary value lies in information gathering. You can deploy it to scout sites when attacking or use it to watch flanks when defending. What makes this ability particularly useful is that you can set up the robot in a position and return to control it later.

This allows you to establish reconnaissance in multiple areas over time.
When you place the robot, you can continue playing normally and switch back to its perspective when needed. This makes it excellent for gathering information about enemy rotations, checking if sites are clear, or monitoring key choke points without risking your own position.
Small Cover
Your second ability creates deployable cover pieces that provide tactical positioning advantages. These cover pieces are designed for peeking angles and taking duels from protected positions. However, the height allows enemies to see your head when you peek over them, so positioning and timing are crucial.
You can stack multiple cover pieces to build walls or combine them with existing map geometry to create full cover protection. This flexibility allows you to adapt your defensive positions based on the situation and map layout.

The cover can be broken into different sections when damaged, so you need to consider the durability when placing it.
The stacking mechanic means you can create double-high walls or raise cover that would otherwise only provide crouching protection to full standing height. This gives you options for creating custom defensive positions in areas that might otherwise leave you exposed.
Auto-Targeting Trap
Your third ability deploys a trap that automatically detects and engages enemies within its radius. Once activated, the trap tracks any opponents who enter its detection range and deals damage over time to them.
The trap provides both area denial and automatic damage output without requiring direct input from you.

Enemies who are tracked by the trap can destroy it, so strategic placement is important. You want to position the trap in areas where it's difficult for enemies to safely eliminate it while still covering important areas.
The trap works well for watching flanks, protecting objectives, or covering areas you cannot monitor directly.

Because it automatically targets enemies, the trap will catch them even if you're not looking at it, which makes it a useful tool for protecting multiple areas at once. The damage over time effect can force enemies to either destroy the trap or take a lot of damage as they move through the area.
