Axon is a mobility and explosive damage Lancer in FragPunk who has undergone changes from previous versions. This character now requires his guitar to access sliding movement and combines close-range elimination potential with explosive traps and flash immunity.
Understanding Axon's updated kit allows you to leverage enhanced movement and powerful close-range capabilities while maintaining utility through tactical equipment.

Guitar Shotgun and Sliding
Your first ability equips a guitar that functions as a two-burst shotgun with limited ammunition. While wielding the guitar, you gain access to sliding movement, which was previously available as a passive ability but now requires the guitar to be active. The guitar provides powerful close-range damage potential with the ability to eliminate enemies if both shots connect with the target.
Getting eliminations with the guitar provides additional ammunition, encouraging aggressive play and rewarding successful close-range engagements. The kill-based ammo system means sustained performance with the guitar depends on successful eliminations rather than passive ammo regeneration.

While aiming with the guitar, you can throw your sticky bomb ability, creating combination opportunities between your close-range weapon and explosive trap. The sliding movement provides enhanced mobility for aggressive positioning and escaping after engagements.
Sticky Bomb
With your second ability, you can throw a sticky bomb that will bounce around until it either hits a target and sticks to them or gets its maximum life and goes off by itself. Because it bounces, the sticky bomb can be used for secondary hits and to throw around corners where enemies might be hiding.
The bouncing mechanism allows you to bank the bomb off walls and surfaces to reach enemies in covered positions. You can throw it around corners, over obstacles, or into areas where direct throws would be impossible. The bomb will continue bouncing until it finds a target or expires.

When the bomb sticks to an enemy, it deals significant damage after a brief delay. If it reaches maximum lifetime without sticking to anyone, it explodes in place, potentially catching nearby enemies in the blast radius. You can also deploy this ability while using your guitar by aiming and throwing.
Flash Immunity Mask
With your third ability, you can put on a mask that protects you from all flash effects for a certain amount of time. Because the immunity lasts for a long time, it can be useful for organized team pushes where flash defense is needed. This skill lets you keep seeing and keep fighting even when enemies use powers that make it impossible to see.

The duration is sufficient to support team strategies that involve pushing through areas where enemies might use flash abilities. You can activate the mask before entering contested areas or when you expect enemies to deploy vision-impairing abilities.
The complete flash immunity means you can continue operating normally while teammates or enemies use blinding effects. This gives you advantages in situations where vision denial is a factor, allowing you to capitalize on opportunities when other players are affected by flash abilities.
