This guide will walk you through the complete process of locating and harvesting these creatures using the proper tools and techniques in Grounded 2.

Gathering Required Materials

You need to gather Grass Seeds to upgrade your gear before you can collect Grubs. Look around for Grass Stems with Seeds that are easy to see at their tips.

When you find these seeded Grass Plants, use your basic tools to cut them down. When you cut the Grass, it will drop a Grass Seed on the ground. You need to pick it up right away to start the upgrade process.

Upgrading Your Omni Tool

Navigate to the Ranger Outpost area to access the upgrade station in Grounded 2.

If you haven't unlocked this location yet, continue progressing through the main storyline until both required regions become available.

Go to the Omni Tool upgrading interface inside the Ranger Station. Use the Grass Seed you have gathered to make your Omni Shovel work better.

Finding and Collecting Grubs

When you have the  Omni Shovel at the required level, start looking around the map area and listening for unique digging sounds in Grounded 2.

Grubs produce loud underground noises that make them relatively easy to detect through audio cues. Look for small mounds or disturbed soil patches that indicate potential dig sites.

When you identify a promising location, use your upgraded Omni Shovel to dig the area.

Keep in mind that not every dig site contains Grubs - you may uncover different creatures or items.

However, Grubs appear frequently enough that you won't need to search extensively between finds in Grounded 2.

Harvesting Grub Resources

Once you've found a Grub, you need to kill it in battle. After you kill the Grub, search its body for three primary resources: Grub Hide, Grub Sludge, and Raw Grub Meat.

Hunting Tips

While Grubs aren't extremely rare, you may occasionally need to cover significant ground before locating one.

The audio cues remain your most reliable detection method, so move through areas while listening for the digging sounds.

The upgrade to your Omni Shovel makes the digging process efficient once you've identified the correct locations in Grounded 2.
