Fletchling is one of the easiest early Flying-types to add to your team in Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet. It shows up very close to the starting path, so you can catch one almost right away. The evolution path is also simple. You only need levels, with no extra items or special requirements.

Where To Find Fletchling Early

Fletchling spawns in the very beginning area, in the starting zone before the big main city. Open your map and head to the same early stretch of land shown in the route. When you arrive, look around the open field.

You should see multiple Fletchling standing around in plain sight. They are easy to spot and easy to catch, so you can grab one quickly and move on.

Catch Fletchling Quickly

Once you see Fletchling, start the encounter and catch it like any other wild Pokémon. Since several can spawn in the same area, you can also choose one that fits your team plan. If you want a fast start, catching the first one you see is usually fine.

Evolve Fletchling Into Fletchinder

To evolve Fletchling, level it up to Level 17. There are no other conditions. As soon as it reaches Level 17, it evolves into Fletchinder automatically.
