Bottle Caps are used to power up a Pokémon through Hyper Training. Instead of hunting for perfect stats, you can use a Bottle Cap to raise a chosen stat through the right NPC. This is a quick way to improve a Pokémon you already like, especially if you want it to perform better in battles.
What Bottle Caps Are For In Pokémon Scarlet And Violet
A Bottle Cap lets you pick a stat and raise it using Hyper Training. When you use one, you choose the stat you want improved, and the training boosts that stat for your Pokémon. If you have more Bottle Caps, you can raise more stats over time.

Where To Buy Bottle Caps
You can buy Bottle Caps at Delibird Presents. They are sold in pretty much any Delibird Presents store, and it is mentioned as being available in every town. This makes it easy to grab one whenever you are ready to upgrade a Pokémon.

Where To Use Bottle Caps
To use a Bottle Cap, fly to Montenevera. In this town, there is a guy who likes Bottle Caps and will put your Pokémon through Hyper Training. Once you arrive, check the map to confirm you are in the right spot, then talk to him to start the process.
How Hyper Training Works With Bottle Caps
After speaking to the Hyper Training NPC, select the Pokémon you want to train, then choose the Bottle Cap. You will be asked which stat you want raised. For example, choosing HP shows an immediate improvement, with the stat jumping by a noticeable amount.
If you want multiple stats improved, you can keep using more Bottle Caps on that same Pokémon.
Once the stat is upgraded, you can continue training other stats the same way whenever you have extra Bottle Caps available.
