Legion is the fourth boss in the game. This enemy has a lot of different moves and uses the environment to its advantage. You need to stay alert and watch for its unique move sets.

The Meat Shields

When Legion shows up, it brings a swarm of small, tentacled creatures. These minions cluster around the boss and act as a shield to block your shots.

While Legion flies around, these creatures shoot yellow energy balls that follow you. They move in wide arcs and can sneak up from behind, so do not stop moving.

Sometimes the minions form two rings around Legion. This leaves the boss open to your attacks, but it is a trap. The inner ring shoots blue homing shots, and the outer ring fires Nova projectiles.

You can dash to the side to miss them all, or try to catch the blue ones for energy while dodging the red ones in Saros.

Legion can also curl into a tight ball. In this form, it spits out a huge amount of Nova shots. It looks scary, but if you run far away, the shots will disappear before they hit you.

This gives you a chance to keep shooting from a distance. Watch out for when the creatures surround you in a moving circle. They will fire inward all at once. Wait for the red lights on their heads to flash, then jump to avoid the blast.

Increased Speed

After you empty the first health bar, the fight gets faster. All the old moves return, but Legion adds a new star-shaped formation. The five points of the star fire Nova shots at you one by one. These do not follow you, so just keep moving or dash to stay safe.

This is the best time to use Power Weapons or Overdrive. A single Overdrive blast can wipe out many minions and take a huge chunk out of the boss's health. Using these now helps end the fight much quicker.

The Final Push

When the second health bar is gone, Legion enters its final stage. The boss and its minions get even more aggressive. They will now form a semi-circle with five arms to shoot more Nova projectiles at you. Keep up your speed and stay focused on the boss. Once you defeat Legion, you can collect about 750 Lucenite as your reward in Saros.
