Once you reach the middle of the arena, a Solar Cage locks you in and a giant, two-legged creature called Rhabdom appears. This boss moves very fast and has a lot of health. You need to stay on the move and play your best to stay alive.

Handling the Projectiles and Leaps

Rhabdom has several ways to fill the air with danger. It can spit a Blue or Yellow blob high into the sky, which then breaks apart into many shots that follow you in Saros.

You must block or dodge these as they fall. The boss also likes to jump around the room, usually three times in a row. Every time it lands, it sends out a burst of Red Nova shots. The third landing is the most dangerous because the burst is much larger.

A good plan is to run along the bottom floor and then use your Grapple to zip to a high ledge right before that third landing happens.

Stomps and Shockwaves

The boss can also stomp the ground several times. Each stomp sends out a circular ring that gets taller every time. You can jump the first few easily, but the last ones are too high.

You will need to dash through them, block them, or simply Grapple to the upper floor to stay safe. Some of these rings leave Yellow shots on the ground that eventually float up and vanish, so watch your feet in Saros.

In addition to stomps, Rhabdom can swing its claws to send out waves of energy. These move horizontally and diagonally very quickly. If you keep moving, you can jump or dodge most of them. You can also hide behind the walls on the upper level or use your Shield if you get stuck.

Surviving the Chase

At times, Rhabdom will chase you while spraying a constant stream of Yellow shots from its mouth. The boss is extremely fast during this move. Your best option is to zip back and forth between the high platforms and run in large circles around the room until the attack ends.

When you win the fight, you can pick up about 950 Lucenite from the ground, as long as you aren't using any extra difficulty settings in Saros.
