If you don’t understand Yap Yap’s enemies, you’ll die frequently. Every run brings you closer to dangers that act quickly and punish poor decisions. Movement can be used to control some enemies. Others are there merely to get rid of you. It is not necessary to battle everything to stay alive. It is regarding knowing when to move, when to hide, and when to leave.
Goblins
Goblins usually appear in groups and often show up later in a stage. They rush toward you and try to surround you. One hit does little damage, but several hits at once can drain your health very fast.

You should never let goblins crowd you. Use the Wand of Wind to push them away and keep space open. Backing up while casting helps control the group. If you stop moving, they will stack on you and deal damage together.
There are ways to gain extra chaos from goblins using special liquids. These methods work, but they slow you down. If you choose to do this, watch your position and be ready to move. Goblins are weak alone, but numbers make them dangerous.
Guards
Guards are useful enemies for building chaos. You deal with them by knocking off their helmets and then creating distance. Once the helmet is gone, they continue to chase you.
Their movement is clumsy. They struggle with corners and cannot climb over objects. Use furniture, ledges, and obstacles to force them onto long paths. This gives you time to move or escape.
You can also apply tools like Blink to pass them quickly. Duplico works well by creating copies that pull their attention away from you. These tools help you avoid direct contact.
Each hit from a guard reduces your health by a large amount. Two hits will end your run. Never stay close longer than needed. Hit, move, and reposition.

Headless Guards
Headless Guards behave like normal guards but move faster and attack more often. They close the distance quickly, leaving little room for error.
You should treat them as a high threat. Avoid small rooms and narrow paths when they are nearby. Use obstacles early and keep moving. Waiting too long will put you in a bad position.
Jesters
Jesters are one of the most dangerous enemies in the game. They move fast and can kill you in one hit.
You should not try to fight a jester. When you see one, turn around and leave the area right away. Running early is the safest option. Staying to test your luck will end the run.

Eyes
Eyes appear without warning and lock onto you. They track your position and fire a ray that deals heavy damage in a short time.
You can stop the beam by breaking the line of sight. Hide behind walls, pillars, or large objects until the attack ends. Do not stand still while exposed.
The eye itself may not kill you right away, but it forces your attention. While you focus on it, other enemies can move in. Always check your surroundings when an eye appears.

Slimes
Slimes move slowly and are easy to handle in open areas. You can circle them and avoid contact without much effort.
They become dangerous in small rooms. Slimes block paths and remove escape routes. When this happens, other enemies can trap you quickly. If a slime blocks your exit, do not fight. Leave the area as soon as possible.

Time Ghost
Time Ghost appears when the timer reaches zero. It moves toward you and kills you on contact. There is no way to stop it or escape once it reaches you.
When the time ghost appears, the run is already over. You must always plan your exit before the timer ends.

Movement And Survival
Not every situation allows safe damage. When enemies block paths or crowd rooms, movement matters more than fighting.
A Flying Potion lets you move freely for a short time. You can fly over enemies, bypass blocked stairs, and escape rooms with limited exits. As long as flight time remains, you can reposition and move toward extraction.
Using movement tools at the right time keeps your chaos safe and helps you leave the level with full points.
