YAPYAP Guide | How to Farm Money

Before you even step into the castle, the starting area already hides a surprising amount of value. Many players rush forward and miss easy coins, free tools, and strong movement options. With a bit of time and planning, you can enter the castle stronger, richer, and safer.

Free Wands From Trees

Near the spawn area, you will see several trees with glowing branches and hanging lanterns. These branches can be cut directly. Some trees only drop one branch, while others drop several.

When you cut a branch marked for free wands, the wand goes straight into your inventory. You do not need to pick it up manually. This makes them fast and easy to collect.

These free wands are useful in two ways. You can keep them for movement and spells, or you can sell extra ones for coins. Always check multiple trees, since spawns change from run to run.

Finding The Merchant

From the spawn, face toward the small shop area. A signboard marks the path, and the merchant usually appears nearby.

The merchant is important early on because his stock changes every time he appears. Sometimes he sells nothing useful. Other times, he offers strong wands that can carry an entire run. Early coins give you more chances to buy something good.

Hidden Coins Behind The Signboard

Behind the signboard near the merchant, there is a hidden pile of coins. Most runs yield around 10-11 coins here.

This spot is easy to miss if you only look from the front. Always walk behind the structure before leaving the area. These coins alone can decide whether you can afford your first upgrade.

Secret Chest Near The Campfire

Behind the same structure, close to a campfire, there is a chest. Sitting on top of this chest is another stack of hidden coins, usually around eleven. This chest is not just a decoration. It is one of the best early loot spots and should always be checked before moving on.

Breaking Chests For Gems

Some chests and containers hide gems instead of normal loot. These gems are very valuable.

You can break chests by burning them or hitting them with a strong force. If you find a red gem, pick it up and throw it. When thrown, it instantly turns into a large amount of coins, often around fifty.

Finding even one gem can fund multiple shop purchases. Always break chests when it is safe to do so.

Selling Items To The Merchant

The merchant allows direct selling. Hold any item in your hand and aim at him. A sell option appears, showing the price to his left. Small items like mushrooms sell for little, but they still add up.

Wooden wands and basic tools also sell for coins. Many objects on the ground exist mainly to be sold. Because item spawns vary, luck plays a role. With good spawns, you can collect and sell enough items to reach twenty to thirty coins before entering the castle.

Using Two Wands For Better Flight

Wind wands have limited charges that slowly refill. When you hold two wands, each one recharges on its own.

This means you can use one wand until it runs out, then switch to the other while the first recovers. This saves time and allows much longer movement chains.

Wind Spells And Air Control

One wind spell pushes air forward and lets you float for a short time. Pressing jump while airborne extends the movement. Another wind spell creates a spinning gust that lifts anything it touches, including you. This spell is best used to take off from the ground.

Outside the castle, falling from high places does not deal damage. Once inside, falling will hurt you. Use the safe area outside to practice flight and timing.

Reaching High Areas Without Parkour

Using the lifting wind to gain height is the first step towards reaching high areas. To travel through gaps once in the air, switch to the forward wind spell.

If you have two wands, swap between them to repeat spells. You can chain lifts and floats to climb far higher than normal paths allow. Using the same spell across two wands also works. Use one, swap, then use it again. With good timing, you can reach almost any location on the map.

Wind spells can break chests instantly if used nearby. This saves time and effort. Hitting the merchant will make him react briefly, but it is not useful and only wastes time.

Early coins and strong movement remove most early pressure. When you enter the castle prepared, enemies and obstacles become much easier to handle. Taking a few minutes at the start often decides the success of the entire run.
