Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order May Exceed EA's Sales Expectations

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order may reach 10 million copies before the end of March

Years back EA's Blake Jorgensen stated following Visceral Games' closure that gamers weren't interested in linear games. In addition, the reboot of the Star Wars Battlefront series went very poorly. With the first game being a rushed title with an overpriced season pass and minimal multiplayer modes. Star Wars Battlefront 2, while now a great multiplayer game, launched with predatory pay-to-win microtransactions that had fans furious and attracted the eyes of various governments.

Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order was the first single-player game since EA signed an exclusive deal with Disney to make Star Wars game and was positively well-received. Developed by Respawn Entertainment, the people behind Titanfall and Apex Legends, the title went on to become the best Star Wars game in years. And now according to recent projections, it'll reach 10 million units sold by March 31st, 2020.

The information was provided by Daniel Ahmad. This is ironic all things considering. EA is infamous for its predatory microtransactions, especially in its sports title, which were absent in Jedi Fallen Order. However, EA seems to give Respawn Entertainment more freedom as the company has provided incredible IPs in such a short amount of time. Currently, there are rumors that a sequel is in the works but it's likely we won't hear about that game for a while.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is now available for PS4, PC, and Xbox One.
