Death Stranding Female Character Teased?

Little is known about Death Stranding but it's one of the most anticipated games for the PS4. Up to this point, Hideo Kojima has provided vague statements and enigmatic trailers. Now comes what could be another hint to the game's roster, a female character.

In a recent tweet, the image shows a female character that resembles Kojima Productions' mascot Ludens. However, unlike Ludens, this character is exposed with her mask off and holding a weapon.

Many fans speculate that this character is based on actress Emma Stone given Kojima's admiration of her. All things considered, this could be promotional art for Death Stranding or just the studio's way of saying Happy New Year. Until an official confirmation is given perhaps we should take this with a grain of salt.

Death Stranding is now in development for PS4.
