GTA 6 Weapons: Every Gun, Blade, and Blast Tool Spotted So Far
A breakdown of the full GTA 6 weapons lineup gives fans their clearest look yet at what you'll be carrying around Leonida.

If you've been keeping tabs on everything coming out about GTA 6, you already know weapons are going to be a massive part of the experience. You'll get a brand new arsenal to mess around with once the game drops, and that arsenal will carry over into GTA Online down the line too.
Every trailer, screenshot, and reveal so far has been combed through for a rundown of the GTA 6 weapons that have already been spotted in the wild, and there's a lot more here than you might expect. According to that breakdown, over 30 firearms have already shown up across the footage released so far. Some of these GTA 6 weapons are brand new designs, while others are clearly inspired by real-world guns you'd recognize instantly.

Rifles and carbines lead the way, with more real-world inspiration than expected.
Starting with the rifles, you'll be able to get your hands on two carbines modeled after the Colt M4A1 and the M4A1 Block 2. Both are made by a fictional company called Duke Arms, which is styled after Colt and previously showed up in the Red Dead series through Red Dead Online. You can spot Jason holding one of these carbines in official shots, while Raul Batista is shown carrying the other version.
Moving into submachine guns, you'll likely get a follow-up to the tactical SMG that was added to GTA Online back in 2023. This one looks like it takes cues from the Brügger & Thomet MP9 and the Steyr TMP. In one of the promotional images for the Ultimate Edition, a gangster character is holding a customized version with a colorful camo finish and what looks like a holographic sight mounted on top.
There's also a completely new SMG in the mix based on the B&T APC9K. In-game, it's called the S&M DW9, built by a fictional manufacturer named SNM that's clearly modeled after the real Swiss company. You can catch a glimpse of this one sitting on a car seat in one of the screenshots that leaked out.
Then you've got the personalized sidearms tied to the two lead characters. Jason and Lucia each get their own custom handgun as part of the Ultimate Edition content, the Klose K17 and the Girardi ES9. The K17 takes its design from the Glock 17, while the ES9 is based on the Beretta 92.
These sidearms carry personal touches that go beyond simple design inspiration.
Both pistols come with custom touches like carry handles, and Jason's even has "J Duval" engraved on it. It's a small detail, but it hints at a level of personalization that could carry over into how weapons work throughout the rest of the game, whether that's in the story mode or eventually online.
On top of those custom sidearms, more SMGs are expected to make an appearance too. One clip from an early trailer shows what looks like either an HK MP5 or an MP40, and a pre-order screenshot reveals a Mac-11 style weapon finished in a blue camo pattern that fits right in with the aesthetic Jason has going on in that particular shot.

Revolver fans aren't being left out of the GTA 6 weapons lineup either. Two have already been confirmed by name: the Hawk & Little Morgan and the Duke Mustang. The Morgan pulls its design from the Smith & Wesson Model 629, while the Mustang is based on the Colt Python. Each one has its own distinct look, giving you some variety depending on which style of revolver you'd rather run with.
As for shotguns, only one has been confirmed in the footage so far, a double-barrel model that appears to be based on the Longfowler. You can actually see it being used for alligator hunting out in the Leonida Grass River in one of the released shots, which lines up with the swampy, rural vibe a lot of the map seems to be leaning into.
Shotguns aren't the only nod to Leonida's rural, hillbilly-heavy side.
Sniper rifles and hunting guns are also part of the mix, mostly tied to characters described as Leonida's hillbillies. These weapons appear to be based on the Springfield M1A, the Remington 700 BDL, and the Ruger 10/22. You'll also spot another version of the M4A1 Block 2 here, this time kitted out with a different optic attachment, showing off some of the customization options that seem to be baked into the weapon system this time around.
Rounding things out, the grenade launcher from GTA 5 is confirmed to be making its return. You can see it in action during trailer two, where it's used to blow up police vehicles in the middle of a mission, with an armored truck visible in the background of that shot.
That covers the standout GTA 6 weapons highlighted in the breakdown, but the full list goes even further than that. The complete inventory covers everything from melee weapons to full-auto rifles and pistols, and it's constantly being updated as new trailers, screenshots, and Newswire posts roll out. Every time something new gets revealed, it gets analyzed and compared against its real-world counterpart, then added to the growing catalog.
On the melee side, you'll be able to use a baseball bat, a fire bottle, your bare fists, a hammer, a knife, and even a pool cue. Beyond the pistols already mentioned, you can expect a wider spread of machine guns, assault rifles, and sniper rifles across the full GTA 6 arsenal.

Melee options open the door to an even wider heavy weapons lineup.
Heavy weapons are also confirmed, including that grenade launcher, a rocket launcher, and a speargun for anyone looking to take the fight underwater. Throwables round things out nicely too, with flashbangs, grenades, smoke grenades, and yes, even golf balls that you can chuck at enemies or just for fun.
Screenshots tied to this expanded list show off some of these weapons in action already, like a character swinging a hammer, another using a pool cue as a weapon, and even a mini golf club making an appearance somewhere in the footage.
Each weapon in the full breakdown is tied back to the specific trailer, screenshot, or post where it was first spotted, so you can trace exactly where every piece of the GTA 6 guns lineup came from if you want to dig deeper yourself.
What's still unclear is exactly how the game is going to handle carrying all these GTA 6 weapons at once. In GTA 5 and GTA Online, you're used to stacking dozens of weapons in your inventory and cycling through a rocket launcher, fireworks, a pistol, and a knife without a second thought.
Carrying all these weapons at once raises questions still left unanswered.
GTA 6 sounds like it might take a more grounded approach this time. There's already been talk of weapon lockers where you can store extra gear, along with the ability to stash weapons inside your car instead of carrying everything on your body at all times.
That raises some interesting questions about how loadouts will actually work in practice. If you're wearing a vest, it's possible that determines how many extra melee weapons or sidearms you can tuck away. A belt might let you carry a couple of grenades, but probably not an entire arsenal strapped to your back like before.

It's a system that could make gunfights and encounters feel a lot more grounded compared to previous entries, assuming it gets implemented the way early details suggest. For now, this stands as the most complete look yet at the GTA 6 weapons players can expect once the game launches, covering everything from custom carbines and personalized pistols to revolvers, snipers, and heavy ordnance.
As more trailers and screenshots surface, this list is only going to keep growing, and it's worth checking back in as new GTA 6 guns and gear continue getting confirmed between the sheer variety already on display and the possibility of a more realistic carry system; the weapon side of GTA 6 is shaping up to be one of the more detailed and immersive parts of the entire game.
