The PlayStation Plus Essential games for February have been officially revealed. This gives subscribers a new set of games to add to their libraries. Details shared on the PlayStation Blog say that the new choice will be available to claim starting February 3. Subscribers should add these games to their accounts as soon as possible, because once they move out, they're gone for good.

This news also comes at a good time to tell people to get the current PlayStation Plus Essential games before the switch. For now, games like Need for Speed Unbound are still available. But in February, the new games will take their place. This is a good time to claim these games since you're already paying for the contract. You don't have to worry about when you'll play them, though.

Undisputed, which is only available on PlayStation 5, is the first game in February's list. This boxing-themed game is in a type that doesn't come out very often, especially these days. Some people might not like boxing games, but Undisputed brings the sport into the modern age and stands out by filling a need that hasn't been fully met on current consoles.

Next is Subnautica: Below Zero, which will be available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.

This add-on for the original Subnautica takes players back to the underground world of survival, this time in a frozen part of the planet. Below Zero is still a great addition for players who like atmospheric, slower-paced games, as it features core features like exploration, base-building, and survival. The fact that it works on both new and old consoles makes it one of the easier games to get this month.

Another game that comes with both the PS5 and PS4 is Ultros, which may not be well-known to many players but stands out because of its creative background. The project is being developed by a developer known for Hotline Miami. This quickly draws the attention of people who like stylish, unique games. Ultros is one of the more interesting new games this month for people who want to try something different. It has a lot of strange graphics and a unique design.

The last game on the list is Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, available on PlayStation 4 and playable on PlayStation 5 via backward compatibility. This post stands out because people are still waiting for the next Ace Combat game. People who haven't played the game before should take this opportunity to start. Not only is the game praised for its aerial action, but also for its soundtrack, which has become one of the series' best parts.

When you look at the list as a whole, February doesn't seem like the best month that PlayStation Plus Essential has had to offer. Still, the service is useful because it helps build a library over time. If none of the games stand out right away, claiming them now makes sure they'll be there later if you're interested.

Sony continues to support both PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 users with mixed-generation monthly offerings.

PlayStation has kept releasing games for the PS5 and for multiple generations, and it's great to see PlayStation 4 games still being added. This method keeps the game's value for players who haven't totally switched to newer hardware while giving PlayStation 5 users something new to look forward to.

Ace Combat 7 is a great game to start with if you don't know what else to play, especially if you like action games or music from movies. Subnautica: Below Zero is also a great game for people who want to spend a lot of time exploring and staying alive.

As February approaches, make sure you add the new games to your library before they are removed. From the start of the month until the end of the month, you can claim Undisputed, Subnautica: Below Zero, Ultros, and Ace Combat 7. Even if this list doesn't seem important at first, it's part of the service you're paying for, and you never know what game you might enjoy when you finally hit "download".
