Absolum Guide | How to Unlock Cider

In Absolum, unlocking Cider is a straightforward process that can be completed within a few attempts. This guide will take you through each encounter with Cider, from the first meeting to the moment they become a playable character.

First Encounter with Cider

You will first meet Cider after defeating the first mini-boss in the Grandery. The path you take to reach this point does not matter, as Cider will appear in the safe zone following either boss fight. During this meeting, Cider will mention that they know you, marking the start of their unlock process.

Second Encounter and Progression

Once you have met Cider for the first time, they will show up again at the beginning of your next run. However, they will disappear shortly after appearing. Your next major encounter with Cider happens when you reach the forest area located near the Underking’s Castle. Here, you must assist Cider in battle.

After you help Cider in the forest, they will move to the Sanctuary, where they become available as a playable character for all future runs.

Playing as Cider

When you start using Cider, you will notice that their playstyle differs from other characters. Their special attack functions as a grapple, making it one of the most effective tools in their move set. Although their abilities depend on situational use, they remain practical throughout various encounters. Once you begin collecting Inspirations, you will find Cider’s combat style rewarding to use.
