Abyssus Guide | Unlocking All Weapons & Abilities

This guide provides detailed instructions on how to unlock all weapons and abilities in Abyssus. Each weapon is listed in the order it appears at the workbench, while abilities are presented without specific order.

The steps below ensure you can locate and unlock every feature efficiently during gameplay.

Weapons

Shotgun: The Bursting Weapon

The Shotgun is obtained at the end of Act 1, Stage 2 (Depth 2), after defeating the miniboss.

Tesla Gun: The Electrical Weapon

The Tesla Gun is found at the end of Act 2, Stage 2 (Depth 6), following the miniboss encounter.

Brine Revolver: The Scoped Weapon

The Brine Revolver is located in the Pregame Lobby, positioned just to the left of the workbench.

Disc Thrower: The Sharp Weapon

The Disc Thrower is acquired at the end of Act 2, Stage 4 (Depth 8), in the room after defeating the boss. The door to the weapon opens only after destroying four crystals in the room:

Crystal 1: Located to the left of the door, past a grate.

Crystal 2: Positioned nearby in one of the upper grates.

Crystal 3: Found in the grate on the right side of the small pond.

Crystal 4: Hidden in the vertical grate near the exit tunnel.

Once all four crystals are destroyed, the red door opens. The order of destruction does not matter.

Combat Bow: The Precise Weapon

The Combat Bow is located at the end of Act 3, Stage 2 (Depth 10) after the miniboss. The mural on the right side of the area will vanish if the miniboss is defeated quickly.

Only the time spent on the miniboss matters, and it is estimated that the time limit is under one minute.

Plasma Launcher: The Blazing Weapon

The Plasma Launcher can be found at the start of Act 4, Stage 1, just before you drop from the Start Area. To open it, the total runtime must be less than a certain amount of time, which is likely 40 minutes.

Turn around at this point in the level and jump, run, and jump again to get across the gap. As long as the condition is met, you can go to the room with the weapon.

Fish Deity: The Aquatic Weapon

The Fish Deity can be found in the Pregame Lobby, inside a hidden room. This weapon becomes available only after defeating every miniboss variant in Act 4, Stage 1 (one of three is selected randomly each run).

To reach the room, follow the seaside path behind the spawn point, located behind the waterfall. Continue until reaching a room where the far wall glows, allowing interaction to open it.

After entering, wait until the statues activate and fill the pond with water. The Fish Deity will appear swimming in the fountain once all miniboss variants have been defeated.

Abilities

Turret: The Autonomous Ability

The Turret is unlocked in Act 1, Stage 4 (Depth 4), after defeating the boss.

Anchor: The Mighty Ability

The Anchor is discovered in Act 2. During a transition area between encounters, you may come across a locked door. Opening it with a key grants access to this ability.

Ancient Core: The Ancient Ability

The Ancient Core is found in the Pregame Lobby, inside the trophy room. The entrance is located opposite the workbench, past the Soul Upgrade Wheel.

This area becomes accessible after collecting six artifacts, which can be earned by completing various challenges. By the time Act 2 is cleared, enough artifacts have likely been obtained.

Brine Field: The Protective Ability

The Brine Field is available in Act 3, typically located in a transition or starting area. Look for the safe room with multiple pillars surrounding a bridge, where the ability can be found at the top of the tallest pillar. This room is likely to appear numerous times throughout Act 3.
