It can be challenging for beginners to survive longer battles, but Assassin's Creed Odyssey offers countless strategies to combat these. A strong health-focused hybrid build is the way to stay alive while also dealing with damage. This guide breaks down simple and easy-to-follow builds perfect for beginners.

Ultimate Warrior-Assassin Setup

This build includes Bull Rush as the main ability, along with 100% Damage Reduction and Assassin Damage to Nearby Enemies.

These work together to cancel out the negative effects of the cursed engraving, which normally doubles incoming damage. This combination makes full health builds strong.

Synergy with Hero Strike and Rush Assassination

This build's standout feature is Assassin Damage to Nearby Enemies, which works with both assassinations and Hero Strike. Hero Strike causes enemies entering the area to be instantly eliminated; this makes it highly effective in Conquest Battles. Combined with Bull Rush, this setup can wipe entire groups of enemies with ease.

Damage Output Potential

This hybrid build can deliver high numbers; light attacks can reach 1.8M damage while heavy attacks deal 3M, and charged heavy attacks can hit 8M. Bull Rush deals 7M whereas Sparta Kick and Ring of Chaos land around 4M damage.

Overpower Attack with Animation Cancel can spike up to 30M damage. Abilities like Devastating Shot deal around 9.5M, and Predator Shot can exceed 12M.

Core Weapon: The Bone Bow

The Bone Bow is important for this build. This doubles warrior damage and applies it to all the arrows while shifting all of its DPS to the left melee weapon slot. This means ranged attacks benefit from the same 243,000 Warrior Damage as melee hits.

Melee Weapon: Heitor's Harpe

Heitor's Harpe is the best pick because of its Warrior Damage, Critical Damage, and Damage with Swords. For maximum crowd control, engrave it with +2 Charges for Bull Rush. However, for high damage setups, you may add Armor Penetration or +100% Damage with Health Cap at 25%.

Herakles bow

To maximize Warrior and Assassin Damage engraving the Herakles Bow with Convert 50% Hunter Damage to all Damage.

To unlock this engraving and Assassin Damage requires visiting the Forge of Hephaistos in Episode 3 of the Atlantis DLC and crafting a spear or mace to unlock all engravings.

Helmet Setup

An ideal helmet has Warrior Damage, Chance to Ignore Half Damage, and Damage with Swords. This adds +20% Crit Chance at Full Health as the engraving. The fastest method to get this helmet with these characteristics is to use the blacksmith reload.

Torso Armor Choice

The Resort Shoulder Pads from Korfu Island are important for this build, as they are the only torso in the game with Ignore Half Damage.

This allows reaching the 100% threshold when combined with engravings. Adding Critical Damage as the engraving is recommended for maximum damage potential.

Bracers and Belt Options

Warrior Damage, Critical Damage, Critical Damage at Full Health, and +10% Crit Chance are all suitable for braces. The Belt of the Sphinx is the strongest belt option, offering +20% Crit Chance at Full Health.

Pairing this with the Nemean Lion Set bonus grants an additional +5% Crit Chance and +25% Critical Damage, reaching nearly 95% Crit Chance and 700% Critical Damage.

Boots and Key Engraving

The ideal boots include Warrior Damage, +100% Critical Damage, +20% Crit Chance, and +100% Damage, although it has -100% Resistance. This engraving can be unlocked by traveling to Keos Island.
