Getting an understanding of how vehicles work in Battlefield 6 is fundamental, as vehicles like Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs) and tanks do serious damage and can wipe enemies out in an instant.

At launch, some of the abilities don’t really work as they’re supposed to, but they may get fixed later down the line. Despite that, this guide will cover how you will be able to utilize the tanks and IVFs best.

Adjusting Settings

Before combat, it’s important that you adjust in-game settings for a better experience; lowering the brightness can help you visualize things better as it makes everything less washed out.

You also want to increase your vehicle's third-person field of view to enhance your peripheral vision.

Battle Tank Loadout

For your main battle tank, you want to equip the multipurpose rounds as your primary ammunition, as they’re pretty good at offering meaningful damage.

As a secondary, you want to equip high-explosive rounds, as they’re pretty good for taking down infantry, whereas guided missiles are useful for taking down fighter jets or enemies far away.

For countermeasures, you’ll want to equip mine detection, as explosives are pretty common to run into. When you equip it, it will help you to hack nearby mines and keep your tank safe.

Infantry Fighting Vehicle

The IVF will give you a lot of versatility and decent firepower; its strength is its ability to remain mobile while still taking down enemies.

Its high-explosive shells are probably the most effective weapons in the game. Went on target, you’ll be able to instantly kill enemies while still dealing a lot of splash damage.

The TOW missile is also a pretty good choice that is capable of taking down any tanks and attack helicopters.

Light Transport Vehicles

Light transport vehicles are very simple; they simply help you get across the map and lack an advanced loadout, but they act as a really fast and reliable mobility tool.

The anti-air vehicle is designed to take down aircraft, and it does substantial damage with high-velocity ammunition and its enhanced loading system.

It can be pretty tricky to use, but despite how powerful it is, it’s pretty underutilized because of how hard it is to land hits.

Vehicle Combat

Tanks and IVFs are probably going to be your go-to when it comes to your overall ground combat.

You’ll always want to avoid exposing your weaker points, like your rear, and try to best utilize all of the repair stations scattered across the map whenever you can.

Activate the APS system before taking hits, as it lasts a few seconds, but it can block a lot of damage from RPGs or tank shells.

For most situations, you’re better off with multipurpose or explosive rounds as your default choice; the guided or TOW missile should be reserved for vehicles and helicopters.

While, not every vehicle performs the same way. Mastering their controls and their tools, as well as having good enough awareness, can shift how a battle pans out.
