To challenge Simon, you first need to find the Abyss, which is accessible through Renoir's Drafts. This is an endgame area, typically recommended for levels 85 to 90 or higher. You must unlock the Fly ability through the main story and also max out SK's relationship to level 7.

Once you've done that, dive underwater and navigate through Renoir's Draft toward the golden tree to enter the Abyss.

Building the Strategy

You'll be using only one fighter—Maelle. Equip the MEDALUM weapon, which you can earn by dueling Golgra in Gestral Village. Make sure the weapon is upgraded to level 33. For attributes, focus your points primarily on agility and defense and then distribute the rest into might.

You only need two essential skills for this strategy: LAST CHANCE and STANDAHL. These will form the core of your damage burst combo. What matters most is your Picto and Lumina setup.

Optimal Picto and Lumina Setup

Equip the Picto "Cheater," which lets you act twice in a row. This is absolutely necessary. Combine it with Energy Master and Energizing Turn for efficient action point regeneration.

Spend around 192 points in Lumina, or more if possible. The first row is critical. Include abilities such as At Death's Door, Augmented Strike, and Auto Powerful.

Add buffs like Confident Fighter, Critical Moment, and various energy regeneration skills, including Energizing Burn, Rush Shots, and Energizing Turn.

To boost your first turn damage, make use of First Offensive and First Strike. Glass Cannon, Immaculate, Inverted Affinity, and Painted Power all stack additional power. Equip Shortcut, which lets you act again once your health drops below 30%.

Solo Fighter adds another 50% damage when fighting alone. Consider adding Second Chance for a free revive and Roulette for a chance at 200% bonus damage.

Tailor your setup based on how many Lumina points and pictos you currently have. The configuration doesn't need to be exact but must include the key components for massive burst damage.

Executing the One-Hit Kill

With Myel alone in your party, begin the fight. Open with STENDAHL. The first phase of Simon has about 7–8 million HP, which you should easily clear using your buffs. You can hit well over 20 million damage if executed correctly.

In the second phase, Simon's HP jumps to around 50 million. Use the same opening again with STENDAHL. Buffs like Immaculate, Inverted Affinity, and Solo Fighter will activate. You should deal 20–30 million damage or more.

At the end of your turn, use Last Stand. Because of the Shortcut ability, once your HP falls below 30%, you'll get to act again immediately. This lets you fire off another STENDAHL, this time dealing even more damage because of your low health.

For even higher output, try to burn or mark the enemy on this second turn and equip Luminas that increase damage to burned or marked targets. If you include Roulette, there's a 50% chance to double your damage again, putting you well above the 100 million marks.

Wrapping Up

Once you defeat Simon, don't forget to grab the journal and continue toward 100% completion. At this point, you likely don't have much left to finish in the game. This strategy lets you skip Simon's often unfair mechanics and secure victory in just one or two decisive turns.
