Command & Conquer 4 announced

It's true, it's real, it's been officialy announced :D :D :D

 

EA Los Angels today announced the development of Command & Conquer 4, expected to be released in 2010. Originally released 15 years ago by legendary Westwood, C&C has been one of the most successful franchises in gaming history.

 

Mike Glosecki, Lead Producer of Command & Conquer 4 at EA Los Angeles stated : With its objective-based multiplayer mode, persistent player progression and all-in-one mobile base, players will experience Command & Conquer like never before.

 

 

The year is 2062 and there are only 6 years left until those mysterious Tiberium crystals make us all disappear from this planet. GDI and NOD will fight once again, but this time for a common cause : to save us from extinction. The are rumours that GDI and NOD may fight side by side in this game, but the sure thing is that the leader of NOD, the mysterious and strange Kane, is said to be heading towards GDI headquarters...

 

Apparently the game will include 2 campaigns, as well as 5v5 objective-mode multiplayer mode. A small but not quite revealing video can be found here but the most important thing is right below it...
