Dave the Diver has several extra mini-games that you can play when you're not doing anything else. These games give prizes for new fish and upgrades, even though they aren't part of the core loop. You can play minigames on your phone and in the Sea People Village. This guide tells you how to unlock each game and what you can make by playing them.

Playing Phone Minigames
You can access three minigames on your phone whenever it is available, which is any time you are not on a dive.
Leah's Run
You will unlock Leah's Run automatically during Chapter 3. It is an infinite runner where you control Leah to collect gems while outrunning fans. The goal is to achieve a high score. The game uses a single jump and a double jump to clear gaps and obstacles.
Falling into a gap causes instant failure. Hitting an obstacle allows fans to get closer; you can only hit two obstacles before failing. This minigame does not offer in-game rewards beyond competing for a high score.
GYAO!
You will likely return to GYAO! often after unlocking it. It is a virtual pet game that also unlocks unique fish species not found elsewhere. You unlock it after completing the first Stormy Night sub-mission from Sato. He asks you to investigate a mysterious vortex in the Blue Hole Shallows on a stormy night.
To raise a healthy GYAO, you have several management options. The Feed option uses a meal or a snack; your GYAO is full after four meals. Use the Lighting option to turn off lights at night for bedtime. The Play option engages your GYAO in a shell minigame; four games will make it happy.

Use Heal if you see a purple skull icon. Use Clean to sweep away waste. If you get a notification but nothing is wrong, use Warning or Discipline to train your GYAO.
The Manage screen shows hunger and fun meters, which are raised by feeding and playing, and displays the training level. The Favorites screen lets you view past GYAO you have raised; they will eventually pass on. The Settings option lets you turn notifications on or off.
Space Diver
You will unlock Space Diver during the end credits. In this minigame, you dart around space and shoot down the names of developers. It is a high-score game. Shooting names increases your score, while getting hit by enemies decreases it. The goal is to take out all developer names before the credits finish.
Playing Sea People Village Minigames
You will find four additional minigames in the Arcade in the Sea People Village. Each game awards the village currency, which you can spend at the Blacksmith.
Arcade Betting Games
There are three betting games in the arcade: Shark Cavity, Hermit Shell, and Card Match. You must place a bet to play. A win pays out two to one; for example, betting 10 coins returns 20 coins if you win.
Card Match is a simple memory game. You take turns selecting cards to find matching symbols.
Hermit Shell requires you to track which of four hermit crabs hid a pearl under its shell. You must choose the correct one to win.

Shark Cavity is a press-your-luck game. You take turns choosing to press down between one and three teeth. The player who presses the wrong tooth first gets bitten and loses.
Seahorse Racing
You can also participate in Seahorse Racing. Several races offer different amounts of village currency for winning. To participate, you must register Seahorses you catch at the Arcade instead of taking them to the sushi bar.
During a race, you must mash a button to keep a race gauge in the green zone. This typically means pressing rapidly at the start, then tapping slowly to maintain the zone. In later races, you will also need to jump over hurdles and slide under obstacles using the control stick.
If you struggle to win early on, note that different Seahorses have different ranks, and higher-rank Seahorses perform better.
