Definitely Something New!

Well as FetusZero already knows from our daily chats I started Heavy Rain on Thursday night since after hearing at E3 how soon Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is coming out (November 19th) I decided I want to have all my other gaming out of the way for the release of this game since it looks simply amazing from what I've been able to see on it so far. I worked at 5:00 a.m. this morning though and also have to work at 5:00 a.m. tomorrow morning so I haven't been able to get a lot of time with the game, I didn't even get a chance to play it Friday night at all. Today though I was able to get about 3 hours with the game after work, housework and catching up on here so now I finally feel I have a good start to the game and a nice feel for the unique control system the game has to offer.

I'm liking the guy, the interactivity is great, and the story is definitely it's strongest point so far as I expect it to continue to be. The emotion is very high in the game as well, right from the start,  the graphics and camera though I have not found very impressive at all. I've ran across some characters walking right through another character during a cut scene, during a recent one this happened at least 5 or 6 times in the span of just a few minutes of dialogue. It's not enough to ruin the game but definitely completely avoidable with some polishing and I'm more than a little disappointed in the developer for allowing something like that to happen at all during a cut scene, let alone several times in such a short period. Otherwise it is a good looking game, needs more polish though, fine tuning should have definitely been done more before release since that sort of thing is borderline unacceptable for nearly any gamer. I'd expect it from an older generation game but with systems like the X360, PS3 and higher end PC's this sort of thing in a game should barely ever happen at all, let alone have it happen several times in just a few minutes.

Other than that though I have enjoyed the game a lot and not regretting giving it a chance at all. I was a bit worried as far as video content goes with the game at first because there is no save option, the game just does that automatically for you at certain points making it so making several unique save points isn't possible but then I noticed the Chapter Select on the main menu so this game will have some easy navigation after all for video material. Although for a game such as this it will take some creative editing to leave out spoilers since pretty much every scene is crucial to the main plot of the story. I'll see what I can do on Wednesday for getting a video up for the game though for anyone who hasn't saw anything on the game and wants to see something of my own creation instead of looking through Youtube.

I'm off to bed now though since work is so early tomorrow, but there is a bright side to this as well. Wendy finally comes back Wednesday so tomorrow will be the last extremely early shift I have to do for a extremely long time. So I will be going back to the schedule I am more comfortable with and definitely get a lot more done on so I should be able to start moving forward in the gaming a lot more rapidly after a nightly tour of Noobfeed to make sure all is well on the boards. Have a great night everyone and see you around soon I hope. :)
