Diablo IV: Mythic Gear Guide | How to Farm Mythic Unique Items
Here's a guide on how to farm mythic items in Diablo IV Lord of Hatred.

In order to master the most challenging end-game scenarios of Diablo IV, players will have to ignore the typical legends and go for the ultimate in itemization. Veteran players know them better as Uber Unique items; these are the pinnacle of character power in Sanctuary.
Once they fall on the battlefield, they make a flashy, unmistakable purple pillar of light and a sound effect like a whistle or a bell.

The Mythic Unique is designed to completely subvert the normal rules of itemization and is considered a higher level of gear than any other. They tend to be at the top of the item power cap in the game, so that their base armor and weapon damage are unrivaled. Moreover, all the affixes on a Mythic Unique will always roll their highest possible score, eliminating the frustration of getting low-stat rolls.
But this fantastic ability comes with strict operational limitations that will determine the path you should take in building your character around them. The Occultist cannot alter any of the "bad" stats on a Mythic Unique; you have to take it as it is given. Also, as per the manuals, these items can't be tempered the normal way, so you have to understand that the power you are gaining from the item is huge, but you'll lose out on the tailored usage and damage stats.
How to transform character builds with mythic powers.
One of the best features of the Mythic Uniques is the ability to hard-code legendary abilities that can transform your character's combat potential. These are powers that can be built regardless of the game and give incredible defensive benefits or damage boosts.
The Harlequin Crest, for example, gives a flat damage reduction, as well as a ton of bonus skill points to all active skill levels, making every skill on your action bar significantly higher.
Other mythics, like Tyrael's Might, add completely new mechanics to combat, like firing divine artillery rounds on attacks whilst fully healthy. These special abilities make it possible to cross between classes of characters and sometimes allow players to build characters that take advantage of abilities that are normally exclusive to certain skill trees.
A single Mythic Unique can give you instant resource management benefits, or help you make the endgame build into a damaging war machine, or a defensive build with all the resistances you can get.
The Target Farming Loop and the Boss Ladder
There is no reason certain Mythic Uniques can only be obtained from random elite monsters, whispered caches, or events in the open world. The only thing that can't happen is for certain Mythics to drop from random elite monsters, whispered caches, or local events in the open world.
All of the essentials of the mythic farming system are based on interacting with the specific endgame boss ladder that's spread throughout the Sanctuary. In this loop, players have to systematically destroy a list of powerful entities with the eventual confrontation of the king of maggots, Duriel, and the maiden of anguish, Andariel.
The ultimate encounters require a certain amount of summoning materials to be farmed, which involves defeating the lesser lair bosses in the highest difficulty modes. Using Living Steel to harvest from Helltide chests, you will hunt Grigoire the Galvanic Saint, and banish the Echo of Varshan with Malignant Hearts from Whisper caches. The tokens gained from both defeats are exactly what is needed to unlock the entrance to the pestilential lair of Duriel.
At the same time, you have to challenge Lord Zir by collecting Exquisite Blood via world activities and the formidable Beast in the Ice with Distilled Fear from high-tier Nightmare Dungeons. The solution to these two freezing challenges will provide you with the ingredients to call forth Andariel in the Scouring Sands.
This balanced approach of open-world farming and fewer boss kills will lead to a consistent supply of Summoning keys, which are needed for repeated attempts at the highest-level pinnacle bosses.

To make the most of the multi-drop mechanics and tiers in Torment.
The more challenging levels, known as Torment brackets, will result in your mythic hunt being much more efficient. This is the most effective way to get purple drops, as it is a challenge to one of the ultimate forms of the Tormented echoes, Duriel or Andariel. There are five different item drop types that are triggered when a Tormented pinnacle boss is defeated – each drop type has its own chance of rolling as a Mythic Unique, and the chances are independent of each other.
The mechanic is unique in that the success of a boss kill gives you one chance, which over time makes it extremely profitable to farm them. This design can make it possible for the lucky player to see more than one Mythic Uniques drop at once from a single boss corpse. It is highly recommended to rotate with other players in groups, in order to maximize efficiency and save on the player's precious summoning keys.
You are able to accomplish this by teaming up with a full 4-player party and combining your summoning materials. This is a cooperative technique that exposes you to the drop table for a long time -- you're going to have the best chance of seeing that coveted purple pillar of light! It also provides a steady supply of ancestral uniques and high-level crafting materials throughout the process.
The Resplendent Spark Bad Luck Protection System
The developers have built a robust bad-luck protection system around the Resplendent Sparks to ensure that players are not subjected to the harsh realities of random-number-generator variance. It is unique currency that is tied to an account and can be used to skip RNG and enjoy assured progress to guaranteed upgrades. The easiest way to gain these useful sparks is to bring any duplicate or undesirable Mythic Uniques to the local blacksmith.
One purple can earn you one Resplendent Spark, so you can turn that bad luck into a lovely reward to get some progress done! In addition to the drops that can be salvaged, there are deterministic ways of collecting these sparks through gameplay milestones. Defeating your first Tormented pinnacle boss of the season is a major step in your endgame journey, and you can obtain a guaranteed spark for defeating the very first one!
Additionally, fully maximizing your reputation with the seasonal progression factions or conquering the absolute highest challenges in the seasonal journey rewards extra sparks. This is a dual system, meaning all players have a clear, easy way to progress to the highest level of gear, regardless of good or bad luck with boss drops. Regularly engaging with seasonal content and advancing through pinnacles will help you build up the funds needed to control itemization.
Horadric Transmutation and Rune-Based Crafting
After obtaining two Resplendent Sparks, you can create specific Mythic Uniques without any uncertainties. This has been divided between the local blacksmith and the specialty jeweler in the big cities. The other option is to visit the blacksmith, who can let you bet your sparks for a random mythic unique cache, with the dice being rolled using the worldwide cache pool.
For an absolute build optimization, the jeweler provides an extremely advanced Horadric transmutation process to choose the item you need. This is the most advanced crafting technique, where you need to fuse your two Resplendent Sparks with a careful selection of some of the highest-level runes acquired from endgame activities such as the Kurast Undercity. Assigning the right magical rune to your sparks can instantly create a particular fantasy, like a Harlequin Crest or a Grandfather sword.
This deterministic crafting loop is a complete paradigm shift in how players do the endgame grind, as there's no drop that's really a waste. No matter how many times you get the same unwanted mythic ring from Duriel, you can dissect it and turn it into the precise missing component of your build puzzle. It changes the endgame from a random lottery to a well-planned, highly profitable economic cycle that benefits each hour of farming.
Masterworking is a method for improving Mythic gear
Getting your desired Mythic Unique is just one step in the process of getting the most out of it; the masterworking system is complex and will require more than a passing familiarity to fully appreciate its potential. Masterworking, a new option at the local blacksmith, can be a great way to systematically invest in specialized masterworking materials that you have dug up from the Pit to upgrade items. Mythic Uniques can be increased by a maximum of twelve "strands" of modification, which increase each affix by a flat four per cent, compared with standard items.

The real competitive min-maxing of this progression system is around the milestone critical upgrades at rank 4, 8 and 12. The system will not apply the same increase to each of these intervals; instead, it will randomly match one of the item's affixes and increase it by 25% violently. This bonus will affect the selected stat in a different color and brightness (blue, yellow, orange) depending on how often the critical upgrade has hit that stat.
You'll want these massive twenty-five percent bonuses to be applied to your most high-stakes stats, like cooldown reduction or total damage multipliers, for the ultimate build performance.
To reset all of the masterworking ranks of an item to zero, go to the blacksmith and select an item that has a critical upgrade (it should display red text) and input a 0 on all of the stats. In the process, this will use up your invested gold and materials but will enable you to repeatedly fish for a perfect critical hit, therefore putting your mythic too to its maximum strength.
