Here's a guide on how to make the best Dexterity Build in Elden Ring.

This complete Dexterity build makes use of all the new weapons and tools that came with the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion.

The build is designed to be flexible and adaptable, allowing you to handle various combat scenarios and counter diverse enemy attacks.

Primary Weapon: Rakshasa's Great Katana

The Rakshasa's Great Katana is the best in the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC expansion and should be your primary weapon. This weapon has two unique benefits that set it apart from other weapons in its class.

First, it has a strong thrust assault like the Claymore, which gives it a lot of range and damage potential. Second, it's the only great Katana with Hyper Armor, which makes it easier to trade strikes in Elden Ring.

But you need to know how the weapon protects you. When you swing the Rakshasa Great Katana, your defenses go down for a short time. This makes you more open to counterattacks and greater damage during trades.

Even though this is a problem, having Hyper Armor on a Katana is helpful, mainly because the weapon has a lot of aggressive moves and can hit things from far away in Elden Ring.

Secondary Weapon: Sword of Night

Use the Sword of Night as a backup weapon in certain combat circumstances. This weapon is useful against enemies with big Shields, which might be hard to deal with in some build setups in Elden Ring.

The Sword of Night goes right through shields, and its Ash of War makes a tremendous combo with a lot of burst damage. Place this weapon near your primary gun for quick access when needed.

Ranged Option: Claws with Scattershot Throw

Maintain a long-range attack option besides your primary weapon to deal with enemies who attempt to escape and heal or engage you with ranged attacks.

Claws equipped with Scattershot Throw work exceptionally well for Dexterity builds in Elden Ring.

The claws themselves offer aggressive combat potential, while the Scattershot Throw provides the ranged pressure you need to control distance and maintain offensive momentum.

Area-of-Effect: Zamor Ice Storm

Every effective build requires reliable area-of-effect capabilities to handle aggressive three-versus-one team situations in Elden Ring.

Use Endure as enemies rush toward you, then immediately follow up with Zamor Ice Storm. This combination applies frostbite status effects to multiple opponents simultaneously.

During the initial activation, you can trade hits, which does a lot of burst damage and gives you chances to heal and get away when you need to.

Stat Distribution Strategy

Allocate 65 points to Dexterity as your primary damage scaling attribute. Put 20 points into strength if you want a Greatbow for more long-range possibilities in Elden Ring.

If you don't intend to use Greatbows, you can skip the strength investment entirely. Distribute your extra points between Vigor for health and Endurance to manage your stamina. Make sure to put more points into Health pools so you can survive longer.

Talisman Configuration

Use the Ritual Shield Talisman to start Invasions for better protection and an extra health talisman to stay alive longer.

Once you take damage, swap both Talismans for more offensive options. Shard of Alexander and the Two-Handed Sword Talisman provide excellent damage bonuses.

The Godfrey Icon and Erdtree's Favor +2 serve as reliable staple Talismans that complement most build configurations in Elden Ring.
