This guide shows you how to make a good Faith-based build with Queelign's Greatsword, which is one of the most potent heavy thrusting Greatswords in Elden Ring.

The weapon's long reach and unique moveset make it well-suited for aggressive playstyles that rely on chasing and applying pressure to the enemy.

Weapon Overview

Queelign's Greatsword is different from other heavy thrusting swords because it is so long. You'll be using the usual heavy thrusting sword moveset, which gives you a significant edge in chase situations in Elden Ring.

The weapon's fire damage immediately gives it a split damage profile, making it ideal for Faith builds that can enhance this natural characteristic.

Strategy for battle

Your primary strategy should be to track down your opponent and maintain pressure. The running heavy attack is your main way to fight, and it may cover a lot of ground to bridge gaps with enemies.

This move gives you chances to stun adversaries, which leads seamlessly into your Ashes of War combo in Elden Ring.

Combat Strategy

As soon as you land the running heavy attack, start charging Flame Spear right away. When you see your opponent trying to roll, let go of the charge. This will catch their roll recovery frames.

Flame Skewer is another good way to catch rolls, especially panic rolls, and it does more damage than most other Ashes of War in Elden Ring.

Build Configuration

Build your weapon around pure Faith to get the most significant fire damage out of it. You can choose any infusion for Queelign's Greatsword and still have split damage because it already has natural fire damage.

Use the Flame Art infusion to make your selected Ashes of War better, especially Flame Spear and Flame Skewer in Elden Ring.

Damage Enhancement

Use the Flame Grant Me Strength spell to increase the damage your fire does. Combining the Flame Shroud and Crystal Tears effects will significantly increase the damage impact. These enhancements make your weapon's fire damage far higher and make all flame-based Ashes of War work better in Elden Ring.

Talisman Selection

Begin invasions with your standard Talisman loadout for general performance. Once you take damage during combat, swap to damage-focused Talismans, including The Shard of Alexander, Two-Handed Sword Talisman, and Lacerating Cross Tree.

The weapon's strong running attacks make the Lacerating Cross Tree particularly valuable for an aggressive playstyle in Elden Ring.
