End of Abyss Guide | How to Open Sealed Hatches

To open the Sealed Hatches in End of Abyss, you’ll need the Grappling Hook, a tool you will get later on the main story. These hatches often conceal switches or nodes that must be activated to be able to open doors or call elevators, and are marked by three yellow lights. You cannot open them when you first encounter them, so you must return after obtaining the Grappling Hook.

While exploring the facility, you will encounter sealed metal hatches with three yellow indicator lights. These may appear inaccessible at first because you cannot interact with them using your starting equipment.

Open your map to identify their locations. Sealed Hatches appear as symbols resembling three-pin electrical sockets, making them easier to locate when you return.

Find the Grappling Hook

Equip the Grappling Hook and aim it at the hatch. Activate the tool to pull the cover open, exposing the mechanism inside.

Activate the Hidden Mechanism

Open the hatch and look at the exposed mechanism.

Depending on the location, you may find a switch or node attached to a nearby elevator or locked door.

In order to regain access and resume exploring the previously blocked area, activate the necessary mechanism.
