The managerial function is performed by a number of people who are specialists in their respective fields such as the sales manager, the purchase manager, the production manager, the personal manager and so on. The entrepreneurial function is performed by the chairman of the board of directors who takes the major decisions through consultation and agreement.
The entrepreneurship is not a man of ordinary managerial ability, but one who introduces something entirely new. He does not provide funds but directs their use. The entrepreneur is motivated by-
(a) The desire to found a private commercial kingdom.
(b) The will to conquer and prove his superiority.
(c) The joy of creating of getting things done or simply of exercising ones energy and ingenuity.
