Everwind Guide | How to Progress and Craft
Here’s a short guide on how to Progress and Craft in Everwind
Game Guide by Subyunplugged on Mar 27, 2026
In this guide, you will learn how progression connects with crafting and how each system affects your gameplay. You will focus on how crafting stations function, how you manage and move resources, and how gear operates within the game. Each section explains what you need to do and what you need to keep in mind while progressing. This will help you make decisions regarding crafting, storage, and equipment as you move forward.

Crafting and Player Progression
You will rely upon crafting as a core part of your progression. Your development depends on how you use crafting systems to unlock and create what you need. Crafting Stations act as your main source for obtaining new recipes, producing gear, and making potions or other usable items. Whenever you want to create something, you will interact with these stations to access available options.
As you progress, you will unlock more recipes through these stations. This allows you to expand what you can produce and gives you access to better tools and equipment. Your advancement is directly tied to how often and how effectively you use these crafting systems.

Crafting Materials and Inventory Management
You need to understand how materials are handled when crafting. Crafting Stations do not automatically use resources stored in Chests. In some games of this type, crafting systems allow you to pull materials from storage within a certain range. However, this feature may not be available, especially during early access.
If you attempt to craft an item and cannot proceed, you should check your Chests and storage areas on your airship. The materials you need may already be stored there. To use them, you must move those materials into your inventory. Only then will the Crafting Bench recognize them and allow you to complete the process.
You should regularly organize your storage so that you can quickly locate materials when needed. This reduces delays and helps you maintain a steady crafting process.

Storage, Movement, and Resource Recovery
You will interact with storage and crafting structures often, especially when adjusting your setup. When you break objects such as Workbenches, Crafting Stations, or Chests, you will recover all the resources used to create them. This allows you to redesign or expand your airship without losing materials.
At certain points, you may want to change the layout of your space or increase its size. You can safely remove and reposition your structures without penalty. This gives you flexibility when organizing your crafting area.
When you break a Chest, all stored items will drop onto the ground. You can then collect these items manually. This system allows you to move storage even when your inventory is full. For example, if you want to relocate a Chest, you can break it, move to the desired location, collect the dropped items, and then place everything back inside once the chest is set again.
You should use this method when reorganizing your storage or transferring large amounts of loot. It makes certain that no materials are lost during the process.

Loot and Gear Mechanics
You will engage with a system that combines survival mechanics with RPG elements. Gear and loot play a major role in how you progress. Items can appear in Chests or throughout the world, and each item comes with its own properties.
When you find gear, both its base stats and its additional effects are generated at the time of discovery. This means that items of the same type can have different values and functions. You may find the same weapon more than once, but each version can behave differently based on its attributes.
Because of this, you will need to evaluate each item you collect. Some items may suit your current approach, while others may be more useful later. This system allows you to adjust how you play based on the gear you obtain.

Gear Customization and Attribute Control
As you continue progressing, you will unlock access to a Crafting Bench that allows you to modify your gear. This station lets you reroll or adjust specific attributes on weapons and equipment.
This system gives you more control over your build. Instead of relying only on random drops, you can refine your gear to more closely match your needs. You should keep this in mind when deciding whether to keep or change an item.
By combining crafted items with modified attributes, you can shape your equipment to support your playstyle. This adds another level of development and gives you control over how your character changes over time.
