Everwind Guide | How to Make Potions in Everwind
Here's a simple guide on Crafting Potions and Using the Alchemy System
Game Guide by Subyunplugged on Mar 29, 2026
In this guide, you will learn how to create potions and how the alchemy system works. You will understand how to set up the required stations, gather materials, and combine ingredients to produce different potion effects. This will help you use resources efficiently and create potions based on your needs.
Unlocking Potion Crafting
Before you can create potions, you need to build an Alchemy Station. This station requires three main components, including Copper Nails, which are commonly found across the world. You can collect these even from early areas such as the starter island.
You will also need Glass, which requires additional steps. To produce glass, you must first gather Sand and process it using a Furnace. In addition, you need Desert Palm Planks, which are made from Desert Palm Trees. Both sand and desert palm materials can be found on desert islands, allowing you to collect them in one location.

Using the Furnace
You must build a Furnace before making glass. This requires basic materials such as rocks and sticks, which are available in most areas. Once built, you can use the furnace to process materials.
The furnace accepts any fuel source, indicated by a fire symbol. You place fuel into the furnace along with Sand, then start the smelting process. The output, Glass, will appear after the process is complete. You must keep the required materials in your inventory to use the furnace.

Setting Up the Alchemy Station
After gathering all required components, you can place the Alchemy Station and interact with it. Activating the station allows you to begin crafting potions.
The system is based on combining ingredients. However, you must first have Magic Liquid, which acts as a required resource for all potions. Without it, you cannot craft any potion, even if you have the correct ingredients.

Combining Ingredients
Each potion requires three ingredients. To determine which items to combine, you should check their listed effects. Ingredients that share the same effect can be combined to produce a potion with that effect.
You do not need to focus on the top effect listed for each item, as that applies when the item is consumed directly. Instead, you should focus on the alchemy effect shown for crafting.
For example, if you want to create a healing potion, you should select three ingredients that all provide a healing effect. Once selected, you can begin crafting.

Crafting and Potion Results
When you start creating, the system will display the potion effect after you confirm the process. At this point, the crafting is committed. You will then see the result, such as restoring a set amount of health over a short duration.
After completion, the potion is added to your inventory. Potions provide effects faster than food. While food can restore a large amount of health, it does so over a longer period. Potions apply their effects more quickly, making them useful during active situations.
Potion Tiers and Basic Recipes
You will start with basic potions, such as Healing Potion Tier One. These use common ingredients like Resin, Brown Mushrooms, and Meat. These materials are widely available, as Resin comes from trees, mushrooms can be found in many areas, and meat is dropped by animals such as Capiaras, Pheasants, Bears, and Wild Pigs.
By collecting these materials, you can create multiple healing potions early in the game. As you progress, you will gain access to higher-tier potions with stronger effects.

Managing Ingredients
To improve efficiency, you should organize your ingredients based on their effects. This allows you to quickly identify which items can be combined when crafting potions.
Some ingredients may have multiple uses. For example, certain materials can be used for cooking, such as making Mushroom Stew, which also restores health. You should decide whether to use these resources for food or potion crafting based on your needs.

Understanding Different Potion Effects
You will encounter a variety of potion effects. Some increase tool efficiency, similar to a haste effect. Others reduce fall impact, improve stamina regeneration, or enhance movement.
Stamina is important because when it is depleted, you cannot perform actions such as attacking, mining, or gathering. You can only move until your stamina recovers. Potions that affect stamina can support maintaining activity.
Some potions provide light. When used, they make you act as a light source, illuminating dark areas for a set duration. This effect lasts longer than similar temporary item effects.

Other potions include effects such as increased critical damage, movement speed, defense, or resistance to poison. Some effects may not be fully clear without testing, but they still provide additional options for different situations.
Special Effects and Utility Potions
You may also find potions that grant effects like Levitation, Freezing, or Windborne. These may interact with movement or environmental mechanics. Other effects include Lockpicking or unknown effects that require testing.
Certain ingredients may be rare, so store them separately until you understand their uses. This helps you avoid wasting valuable materials.
By combining different ingredients and testing outcomes, you can expand your knowledge of potion crafting and create a wider range of useful items.
