Final Fantasy VII Remake How to Defeat the Scorpion Sentinel

The first mission in Final Fantasy VII Remake is not an easy one. Once you get through the waves of Shinra soldiers and machines you're left with one opponent. The giant laser-shooting machine the Scorpion Sentinel. Unlike the original, this thing is not going down easily, here's how to beat it.

The first part is straight forward, pummel the robot until it flees to the other side of the room. Charge it once it does and take out the shield is now has active. Use Barret's Thunder spell to destroy the barrier and use Cloud to cause major physical damage. When it jumps on the wall you switch to Barret and use Thunder or shoot it from afar but keep your ATB meter charged. If you have your Limit Break keep it for the final phase.

During the final phase, the Sentinel will start to charge its tail laser. Use the debris as cover and start to use any means to take down the Scorpion. Thunder Magic will increase the Stagger meter. As a last-ditch effort, the machine will attempt to heal, use Thunder or your Limit Break if you have it charged to take down the machine before it can heal.
