Games and sports: Bridging rich and poor gap

We have so many issues regarding the rich and poor gap. Every single economy has got its share of problems regarding it. We do find lots of solution and try to implement these solutions so that both rich and poor can live along each other. The solutions can be from different perpectives. Even promoting games and sports can also become a solution. Games are something that the economists and politicians dont think as a feasible soluton. Even in USA, there are people who just like to criticize video games because they bring adverse effects to the society. Well its there own excuse to get some attention. However if we think beyond, we can think of lot of ways to bridge the rich and poor gap in the society.

I spent my childhood days sometimes playing with the poor people living in the slums beside my apartment. We used to play cricket sometimes and badminton during winter. Some of these poor kids can play extremely well. I am just wondering why the sports bosies dont even bother to explore these slums for talents. At least these guys are mad enthusiastic when they come to play. They dont mind to play during rain which is mad fun. They are human beings and they always demand fun stuffs.

Sometimes if we dont find a proper ball to play we always try to find creative ways to build a ball like the one above. We made this to play soccer for a short period of time. A lot of these kids do try to find a lot of ways to play any game which is beyond our imagination.

There are lots of places where you get video game arcade machines. Kids are crazy to have an opportunity to play one round. I was stunned to see some of these kids performing special moves and knock outs in King of Fighter 95 which I even could not do that. They are really talented. They could be our future force for WCG (I guess thats my opinion). At least they could have a oppotunity to do earn something for their living. Imagine people teaming up with the people from the slums to form an ultimate gaming team. I guess its a way to bridge the rich and poor gap.

There is a competition organized by Microsoft where students like us has to create software, solutions and even games to solve the world problems. This includes problems with the rich and poor gap. The competition's name is Imagine Cup. Some people do come up with ideas about games for reducing poverty. An idea of such game can be like Sim City Poverty Solver edition where you try to allocate resources and help the poor improve their situation. OMG!! I just got an idea. I should make a game out of it and present to the current Imagine Cup. I as supposed to get into the US Imagine Cup and since I am not a US Citizen, I cant so I have to focus on the International version. Well that's for next year and I am talking to some of my friends about it. You guys also can check out too.

Gaming and sports are not only the means of entertainment. If we think beyond it, we can realize that these areas has so many things to offer. Problem is that the current society is not supportive about the idea.
