In Hollow Knight: Silksong, your ability to adapt and overcome is constantly tested and is super important, but something that is probably as important is the tools you use to do so.

One of the other items that is crucial to helping you is the Tool Pouch and Crafting Kit, which can be upgraded to store more tools.

In this article, I will guide you and help you in finding all 8 Tool and Crafting Kit upgrades.

The Tool Pouch Upgrades

The tool pouch is a standard item in Silksong, which allows you to hold tools that you can use in combat and in parkour.

Initially, the tool pouch can be upgraded after you fight a short arena battle in the area Deep Docks, which unlocks a bench and a room where you find the NPC named The Forge Daughter, from whom you can buy the first upgrade.

This crafting kit will allow you to craft the tools after the tool has been depleted, using the shell shards you collect by killing enemies.

The second upgrade can be found in Far Fields in the resting area for the pilgrims, at the furthest top-right corner of the map.

You have to buy access to the resting area and then buy the second upgrade from the NPC Mort, who is the owner of this resting place. It allows you to hold a greater number of your tools.

The third can be found in the area The Marrow, in the far right of the map, just underneath the crossroads of Hunter's March, where you will find a small structure.

To get this upgrade, you have to win Loddie's minigame. Loddie is an NPC you find upon entering the structure.

In the minigame, you have to throw pins at a bug, which is a target with a white circle painted on the back; hit it 15 times, and you will receive the reward, which is an upgrade to your tool pouch space.

The fourth upgrade can be found in the area Grey Moor, at the Halfway Home inn, which can be found by going to the left and continuing until you come across a stone structure, whereupon entering, you can talk to the owner, who will offer you a quest of killing the Crabugs and collecting their rags.

To complete this, you simply have to go to the roof, kill the Crawbug present, and give their rags to the owner. He will give you an upgrade for the crafting kit.

The fifth can also be found in the same location as the fourth, where you have to accept the wish of another NPC called Nuuh, present at the top of the inn; upon speaking to them, they will ask you to complete their journal, which is the hunter's journal.

This wish can be completed by killing the required number of bugs/enemies in the game. Upon completion, Nuuh will give you a space expansion to your tool pouch, which allows you to hold more tools.

The Sixth can be found in the area of Blasted Steps, where you have to make your way to the chamber right above the bellway present in this area.

After entering the chamber, you have to wall jump up through a narrow gap, where you will find an NPC called Grindle, from whom you can buy an upgrade to the Crafting Kit.

The seventh upgrade can be found in the area Underworks, near the bench at the top right, where you have to parkour up onto a platform towards a voice speaking from behind a door. After entering, you will find an NPC called the Architect, from whom you can buy a Crafting Kit upgrade.

The eighth and the last can be obtained by returning 20 fleas to the Flea Caravan; this is done by exploring around the map and finding the trapped fleas. Upon talking to the fleamaster, he will give you a Tool Pouch Upgrade, which will expand the space of your tool pouch.
