Horace - How to Defeat the Earth Boss

The Earth Boss is one of the toughest fights in Horace. Here's how to beat it.

First off, the Earth Boss has multiple checkpoints with each phase. Once you get there the game will automatically reset you there when killed. Trust me, you're going to need it.

The fight is basically Arkanoid but much harder. The first phase is preventing the regular rocks from hitting the bridge and repelling both the glowing seeds and regular rocks back at the boss. The rocks will destroy the barriers but they will regrow if you take too long to score a hit. If the glowing seeds hit the platform they will instantly create a vine trap that is instant death.

When you do score a hit the Earth Boss will slam the bridge and send out a pulse wave, avoid this.

The second phase is where things get vexing. The boss will send rocks at an increased rate and shoot pinecones that burst into tiny projectiles in a dome pattern. This limits your mobility greatly as there's no way to defend against this. The best option is to try and predict the rock and angle them to hit the boss asap. This is a battle of speed above all.
