By adjusting the settings, Legion Go's performance can be optimized, resulting in a more stable and overall better gaming experience. By tweaking a few settings in the BIOS, AMD software, display settings, and system updates, you can optimize performance and battery life while keeping the handheld ready for a variety of games.
If the device is off, hold down the Volume Up (+) and Power buttons until the boot menu is displayed. Now select Configuration and then scroll down to UMA Frame Buffer Size in the boot menu. The UMA Frame Buffer Size is set to 6GB, as this has worked well for us. Another setting might suit gaming better, but 6GB strikes a good balance for most.

AMD Adrenalin Edition Can Be Configured
Next, open up AMD Adrenalin edition. We have the perfect experience with its default game features after installing it. Using the HYPR-RX settings and not changing a thing is recommended. The only exception is Super Resolution. Super Resolution can be turned off to prevent conflicts with a game that already has its own upscaling option. Other than this, we don't make any changes to any settings.
In general, it's always displayed on 1920×1200 and 60Hz. As for the best balance for regular gameplay, this is the recommendation. Most of the time, the Legion Go is in Balanced Mode. For extra performance, you can switch to Performance Mode as necessary.
The last step is to check for updates in Legion Space or directly on the official site.
Generally, the best way to check the site is to manually review it for new updates. However, Legion Space may not always display the most recent updates on the first page. By visiting the site, you can be sure you aren't missing anything.
These are the Legion Go settings that we use for 2026. We've had success with the 6GB UMA Frame Buffer, minimal change to HYPR-RX, 1920×1200 at 60Hz, Balanced Mode for everyday use, and regular software updates. You can find a setting that better matches the games you play. Hence, it's always a good idea to experiment with various settings and adapt the game configuration based on your experiences.
