This guide shows you where to find the Bow and how to use it properly. The Bow is a brand-new ranged weapon that can be used for both offense and defense.

It goes over how to get things, how attacks work, how to use fable arts, how to scale, how to fight, and what gear you should bring.

Overview of the Bow

The Bow introduces a unique playstyle that balances limitations—such as restricted mobility during a rapid-fire—with an impressive performance in skilled hands.

It enables players to control distance, exploit environmental obstacles, and complement melee load-outs with powerful ranged options.

Location of the Bow and Acquisition

The Bow is found within the Grand Adventure area, accessed via the Stargazer site. From the entrance, ascend the staircase to the upper right, then proceed forward to encounter a formidable Elite Enemy.

After engaging—or evading—this foe, continue up the next flight of stairs to discover a chest containing the Bow.

Basic Attacks and Rapid Fire

The Bow starts with single-arrow shots that let you still dodge. But when you switch to rapid fire, you can't dodge anymore, so time and positioning are significant.

When you master this Technique, you can keep doing damage while still being able to stay alive.

Incorporating Fable Arts

One press of Triangle unleashes the Back Leap Shot, a maneuver that simultaneously creates distance and delivers counterattack potential.

Executing L1 + Triangle triggers a devastating, heavy volley that excels at crowd control and burst damage, reinforcing both defense and offense.

Scaling and Customization

The Bow has B Scaling by default, with Technique and a small amount of Motivity. Players can move points around to get A Scaling in Technique, which makes arrow damage much higher. When you invest in the right attributes, the weapon's output is maximized.

Combat Strategies

In ranged battles, a Bow user can trap enemies against the ground by using walls and supports to stop their pursuit.

Taking control of high ground or narrow chokepoints makes you safer and lets you fire arrows continuously while your enemies try to get closer.

Abrasives and Ammo Types

Putting an Abrasive on the Bow changes the type of arrows that are fired, which can be used to target enemies' weak spots with elemental or status effects.

Choosing Fire, Poison, or other coats increases damage done to specific targets, giving you more options for how to play.

Tactics Against Ranged Foes

When facing enemy archers or spellcasters, the Puppet String art proves invaluable. Drawing hostile ranged combatants into melee range neutralizes their attacks, then following up with precise arrow shots exploits their typically low defense.

Secondary Weapon Recommendations

You can kill quick, close enemies with the Bow and a fast melee weapon together if they get past your long defenses. Blades or rapiers that hit quickly go well with a slower rate of fire, making it easy to switch between fighting styles.

Stamina Management

Avoid overcommitting to rapid fire, as depleting stamina not only halts offensive output but also leaves no reserves for evasive maneuvers.

Conservative use of shots and timely activation of the Back Leap Shot preserves stamina for repositioning and counterattacks.
