Here’s a detailed breakdown of Wolverine and his attacks.
Game Guide by Joy Rahman on Dec 30, 2025
Wolverine is a fast, melee brawler, menacing in close-range fights. His moveset is pretty quick, and he is pretty self-reliant with decent mobility and an aggressive kit— great for constant pressure.

Light Attack
His light attack has him do a combination of his signature claw scratches, the swipes are pretty quick, and although the range is short, it’s more than sufficient compared to other superheroes.
It is reliable and can often hit enemies with its stun; they work best when you pair them with specials and combos.

Sprint Attack
Wolverine’s sprint attack is probably one of his better abilities; he lunges forward in the air whilst extending his claws.
You’ll be able to almost constantly spam it and dish out massive damage, excellent for closing down distances and dealing with groups.
Moreover, you can also clip enemies that are in the air when using this ability.

Charged Attack
Wolverine’s charged attack has a brief windup but does a powerful double-handed claw attack, dealing massive damage and also knockback. It’s best used after an enemy is stunned or knocked down, as it buys you a second to use it.

Aerial Attack
Wolverine’s aerial attack has him doing a dive with his claws forward, after his jump, taking down enemies on the ground.
It’s best followed after launching enemies in the air using your sprint attack.

Grab
The grab attack is deadly; it has Wolverine slash the enemy a bunch of times before tossing them aside.
You will also be allowed to grab bosses during vulnerable states, allowing you to dish out guaranteed damage.

Special Attack
His special attack has him perform a series of fast attacks, culminating in a large slash that deals AoE damage, making it great at handling crowds.
Passive
Wolverine’s passive isn’t targeted towards anything offensive; rather, it revolves around health regen. He’ll slowly recover his health over time during combat, in turn allowing you to play aggressively.
Parry
His parry will nullify incoming attacks, allowing you to rapidly counter and spring an attack.

Assist
When played as an assist character, Wolverine will dash onto the screen and slice through enemies, giving you room to do follow-up attacks.
Overall, Wolverine is a decent superhero who thrives under pressure. He’s pretty fun to play because of his swiftness and aggressive playstyle, clearing enemies in a breeze in Marvel Cosmic Invasion.
