Megaman 10 Official Box Art
Games by FetusZero on Jan 28, 2010
Sorry for the recent wave of blogs regarding Megaman, but along side my series of blog being thought of, there is also the soon to be released Megaman 10, along with the recent news of a collection set for the Megaman Zero series. I guess that you have now figured out that I can't step aside and let these pass lol. Feel lucky though, as I skip most of everything unless it gets too epic, like this right here:
This, right here my friends, is the official box art for Megaman 10, or at least it would of been if the game wasn't a downloadable title from WiiWare, PlayStation Store and Xbox Live Marketplace.
This blog won't be too long, to my pleasure at some extent since my latest blogs have been known to be quite lengthy in size. As you can see, the box art is ridiculous, but it's really made for the fans. For those who might remember, the North American and European releases of the NES titles saw some really awful box arts and somehow, it stuck with the title and is remembered even today. Luckily for us, by the time they reached Megaman 7 and Megaman 8, it started making sense and being quite adorable box arts.. that is, for North America. I must say that CAPCOM is still rather mean to Megaman in Europe, as they still get the ugliest box arts out of all 3 major regions, but I'm not here to show you them. In fact, I'm simply here for the Megaman 10 box art and to show you guys the box arts from the other original games, from the first one to the 9th one.
You will notice that not only are the first box arts more ridiculous than anything, but Megaman also appears to be getting younger title after title, instead of getting older. That, of course, is purely within the box arts and does not mean that Megaman is in fact growing in a strange way. Megaman 9 also had a nice reference to the older box arts, much like Megaman 10, which I am glad they chose to go this way and take advantage of an "inside joke" if I can allow myself to say so, in order to touch as many fans as possible. I now present to you the box arts of previous titles released in North America:
For those wondering, I currently have that Megaman 10 box art as my wallpaper on my mobile ;p
