My extracurricular publication

About a month ago, I had the idea to create a publication for myself and fellow journalism students to write for in the summer, where we'll have four and a half months to otherwise get rusty. I pitched the idea to the journalism co-ordinator and my friends, and both were very enthusiastic about it. Today was the second weekly meeting, where again we had a crowd of about 10 students. We made it a point to decide on a name and that's exactly what was done. The name is:

 

The Rose City Courant

 

Windsor is the "City of Roses," and courant is another word for newspaper, first introduced in the 18th century.

 

I already put together a Facebook group for it, along with two Gmail accounts for layout and copy editors. I'll be looking at a domain name in the next week and we'll be getting all the details ironed out soon. I will certainly be updating this blog with all the happenings related to the Courant, so stay tuned.
