In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you take on the role of a sightseeing Trainer arriving in Lumiose City, a place filled with diverse individuals and organizations. Throughout your journey, you’ll meet members of Team MZ, Quasartico Inc., and the rival group known as the Rust Syndicate.

You’ll also cross paths with several familiar faces returning from previous titles. This guide introduces the main characters you will encounter as you explore and uncover the story of Lumiose City.

Team MZ

As part of Team MZ, you begin your story alongside friends who share your goal of exploring and learning about Lumiose City.

You can choose to play as Paxton or Harmony, customizing your appearance to match your preferred style. Like in previous Pokémon games, character customization allows you to express yourself as you progress through the story.

Your closest ally will be either Urbain or Taunie, depending on which playable character you select. This companion will support you during your adventure and accompany you in various missions and story events.
