This guide tells you how to get it and what to expect while you're doing it.
Facing the Rogue Mega Tyranitar
To obtain the Tyranitarite, you need to defeat a Rogue Mega Tyranitar. These encounters involve wild Pokémon that undergo Mega Evolution without any trainer’s control.
Such Pokémon are significantly more challenging than ordinary wild encounters and serve as key battles for obtaining Mega Stones.
When you locate and engage the Rogue Mega Tyranitar, you will not be alone in the battle. You’ll often receive assistance from a member of Team MZ, who will join you in taking down the Rogue Pokémon.

Working with your ally increases your chances of successfully defeating it and earning the Tyranitarite as a reward.
Once the Rogue Mega Tyranitar is defeated, you will receive the Tyranitarite, allowing your Tyranitar to Mega Evolve in future battles.
