Preview: ModNation Racers

One of the great revelations from Sony at E3 2009 was the announcement of a racing game that promised to be a breakthrough in terms of innovation, fun and globalization at online level. ModNation Racers is the name of the game that promises to rock the console from Sony and show that there is always something to innovate. At the time of the announcement at E3, many were those who said it was a Little Big Planet but with races. I can say that although the concept is similar, there are differences that make Modnation Racers follow the path to the finish line. The customization is from head to toe with several locked items at the beginning. Win races and achieve certain goals will make new items to customize our character.

 

 

 

One of the things waiting in Modnation Racers is its ability to convey a convivial atmosphere that occurs in  race events. Unlike many games available, ModNation Racers do not have tthe main menu. Instead, the player enters a sort of arena called ModSpot and from there can pick the desired destination. We are never alone in the "ModSpot" because there are other Mods also waiting to enter a race. Now to the basic point of the game ... the races. ModNation Racers allows simple races and split screen races. Up to four people on the same console can enjoy a crazy and full of fun race. ModNation Racers offers a career  mode and this is where the game gets some attention. The career mode is portrayed as if it were a  real championship. There are commentators and a plot behind ModNation Racers who seemed to be very detailed. 

 

 

 

Race, create, share is the motto of ModNation Racers and as you know, the producers of the game through videos showed the simplicity of creating a track, and I decided to test it if it was real. Incredible as it may seem, I created a track in less than a minute. The secret  is a tool that gives the track editor, which basically consists in the automatic creation of houses and forests. ModNation does this automatically. In short, ModNation Racers is on track. In this preview was possible to see what Sony  prepared to ModNation Racers, with its cartoon style (but never too much) and your choice of personalization and sharing, we have a game that will surely please young and old.
