Top 3 Movies based on Chinese History

How do you feel when you are asked to do an assignment during your holidays? Terrible if you ask me! But my last holiday didn't go as bad as how I predicted. Beside taking the deserved rest after a long hard trip, I was asked to prepare a report on the some war movies made on Chinese history. After finishing the report I thought why not share few of the titles with you all too. All three titles below are highly recommended by me. You can whether rent them or buy for your collection.
The Three Kingdoms period was a period in Chinese history, part of an era of disunity called the "Six Dynasties" following immediately the loss of de facto power of the Han Dynasty rulers. In a strict academic sense it refers to the period between the foundation of the state of Wei in 220 and the conquest of the state Wu by the Jin Dynasty in 280. However, many Chinese historians and laymen extend the starting point of this period back to the Yellow Turban Rebellion in 184.
Red Cliff is a Chinese epic war film based on the Battle of Red Cliffs (208-209 AD) and events during the end of the Han Dynasty and immediately prior to the Three Kingdoms period in ancient China.
The film is set in the 1860s, during the Taiping Rebellion in the late Qing Dynasty in China. The story, based on an unresolved crime in 1870, tells of three sworn blood brothers who eventually turn against one another due to the harsh realities of war and political intrigue.
I went through tons of more titles but these are the only three movies I've truly enjoyed. I hope you do to.
