E3 2019 is almost here and the rumors have been spreading like wildfire. With game releases on the horizon and secret projects about to be shown it's hard not to be excited. Here are our top 5 E3 2019 rumors.
5. Watch Dogs 3
Recently, Ubisoft released a small teaser about what fans can expect from the company at E3 2019. Most of the games shown are ongoing live service games such as For Honor, Rainbow Six Siege, and The Division 2 along with more on Ghost Recon Breakpoint. However, 1-2 games were teased in that same video with one of those projects most likely the long-rumored Watch Dogs 3. Which according to leaks is set in London and will star a new protagonist.
4. George R. R. Martin and FromSoftware's Game
Recently, acclaimed author George R. R. Martin stated that he "consulted on a video game out of Japan" which led many to believe that he's working with FromSoftware. It seems likely considering the studio's other projects such as Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. Despite the Game of Thrones series ending on a largely negative note having a new fantasy title from FromSoftware based on Martin's novel series, that sounds awesome!
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is widely considered one of the best videos games ever made. It's extensive narrative and incredible combat system still has players revisiting the open world title. But a new rumor has surfaced that Geralt of Rivia's adventure will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, which would be an amazing feat. Considering that ports made for the Nintendo Switch do need to make sacrifices such as South Park: The Fractured But Whole, Wolfenstein: The New Order, and Doom with reduced resolution, increased frame rate issues, and longer load times. If this turns out to be true it'll be a downgrade from current versions of the game. But The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on a Nintendo Switch, that's incredible!
2. Destroy All Humans 4, Red Fraction, and Darksiders 4
THQ Nordic has a lot of games in development, and 2 that are rumored are a new Darksiders and Destroy All Humans game. According to an analysis of the E3 2019 show floor, GamingBolt noticed that THQ Nordic has potential reveals ready for the convention. The company has been activity reviving older games to make room for new installments so it's not too farfetched to assume that new installments of these titles won't release.
1. Fable Reboot
Microsoft has a lot of incredible IPs waiting to be revived and one that is rumored is the Fable reboot. The series has a new game reported being made by Forza Horizon developer Playground Games. With a report stating the studio has a second studio working on a "Project 2". With Phil Spencer going on record during an April edition of Inside Xbox of how Microsoft's acquired studios are working on projects to be revealed at E3 2019.
