Winter Burrow Guide | How to get Hazelnut

Here's a guide to getting Hazelnut in Winter Burrow.

Hazelnuts are another ingredient you can gather while in Winter Burrow. You can eat Hazelnuts as soon as you collect them for a small benefit, but saving them for cooking allows you to use recipes such as the Hazelnut Biscuit, which offers stronger effects.

Where to Find Hazelnuts

The most reliable place to gather Hazelnuts is south-west of your burrow in the same area where you meet Willow. To reach this location, leave your burrow and move south-west until you transition into the next zone.

Continue heading south-west and then turn west until you reach a set of Granite boulders blocking your path. Break these with your Granite Pickaxe, and use the nearby fire if you need to rest.

The backpack next to the fire contains Advanced Kindling, and the scroll in front of it provides the Advanced Kindling recipe in Winter Burrow.

Gathering Hazelnuts

From this spot, continue south into the next zone. This area is where Hazelnuts begin to appear. You can find them on the ground in small clusters as you move around.

For a larger amount in one run, look for a Hazelnut Tree. These trees have thick branches and dried leaves, and you can often see several Hazelnuts on the ground near their base. If you decide to chop down a Hazelnut Tree, note that it takes time to grow back.

If you want to keep the tree available, it is better to collect only the nuts that have fallen on the ground in Winter Burrow.
