World War Z Guide | Jerusalem Virus Sample Locations

Jerusalem can punish people who loot slowly. Fights often break out on narrow paths, and if you pick up a Virus Sample at the wrong time, it could get damaged before the next swarm even starts. 

This guide has clear directions and practical timing for all the Virus Sample locations in Brain Surgery, Dead Sea Stroll, and Tech Support, so you can get each container with less risk.

Sample Locations for Brain Surgery Virus

First Location

Once the area around the gate is clear, raise it to move on. After you go through the gate, look to your left at the concrete blocks. A Virus Sample is next to the body of a soldier, between the last two blocks.

Second Location

Go down the stairs and into the court right before the house where Dr. Greengold is stuck. At the bottom, look for a gap on the left where you can step down. Go to the other end until you find a grate. There is a Virus Sample right next to a soldier's body.

Third Location

After you leave the court area, go straight left to the end of the street. Go through the open gate that is across from the building with the arches. Go to the last arch on the left. You should see two shelves making a corner, and one of them will have a Virus Sample on it. 

Get this Virus Sample only after clearing the house swarm and picking up the Briefcases that hold the Launch Codes. This will help keep the containers from getting damaged during combat.

Locations of Samples of Dead Sea Stroll Virus

First Location

Once you get outside the plant, take the right path and open the door that goes into the turbine hall. Don't go up yet. Look behind the stairs. There should be a dead soldier and a virus sample there.

Second Location

Go to the back of the turbine hall and look around until you find the stairs that lead up to the upper walkway and the Control Panel that opens the door. From the left side of the Control Panel, go along the path next to the left staircase until you reach a barrier made of wooden crates. You should find a dead soldier and a Virus Sample at the end.

Third Location

After you leave the turbine hall, go to the other side of the building along the path. After you get down, walk to the left toward the second set of dam doors. A soldier's body is hidden behind some rocks near a Virus Sample in the left steel girder.

Sample Locations for Tech Support Virus

First Location

Go right after you break through the gate. To get to the broken-down cars, jump over the fence that is closest to the edge of the cliff. The soldier's body and a Virus Sample are inside the car on the left, which is very rusty. Get this before the swarm at the base entrance arrives. This is the safest time to pick it up before the area fills with Zekes.

Second Location

Once you're in the bunker, head up to the machine room. Open the door and walk inside. Then go to the door in the middle of the room that is slightly open. You should see a dead soldier and a Virus Sample behind it. 

Get it right before you go back into the fan chamber. Waiting until Zekes start coming out of the tunnel closest to the machine room lowers the risk of damaging the container while holding the defense.

Third Location

Get to the lower floor by going through the ceiling and into the console room. Look for the door with a red light above it toward the back. Open the door and then look right away to the left. There is a dead soldier and a virus sample next to him. 

Only collect this after you turn on the last console. This way, the rooftop swarm is less likely to get hurt, and you don't have to drag the container through earlier objectives to keep Dr. Greengold safe.
