Batman: Arkham City.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has pulled the cowl from their mysterious Batman sequel, today announcing the final title of Batman: Arkham City.

Based on the few details provided alongside the announcement, it seems the baddies have traded up in the jail situation. Instead of a measly little asylum, they have a whole district in Gotham, appropriately named Arkham City. Oh, and you're Batman.

Rocksteady Studios will be handling development duties once again, and they've already commented on the heavy use of Detective mode in the first game. If I was a betting man, expect a change there.

Another change appears in the form of a September issue cover of Game Informer. On the cover, Batman wipes blood from his face while what looks like Catwoman hangs upside down in chains.

Look for more news on the hotly-anticipated sequel in the coming months, as Batman: Arkham City arrives in Fall 2011 for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC.
